FIVE YEARS LATER About twelve bodyguards were already standing on both sides right at the plane entrance, ten on each side, all looking hefty and giant with their sparkling black suits. The plane door opened, revealing him, Ryder Jackson looking mad sexy and hot in his CEO special attire. His height is something one could study, his glasses placed well giving him both the innocent and bad boy look. His hair's styled properly and some fell on both sides of his head, Ryder slides in his two hands into his pocket and started getting down, all heads bowed in a single sync, then his secretary followed, that's Grayson He's the one holding the bag and some few things, Ryder looked around the surrounding area of the airport and nodded his head. It's his private airport no one is allowed. As Ryder stepped off the plane, he was greeted by the warm sunshine and the sound of birds chirping. He took a deep breath, feeling a sense of calm wash over him. It was good to be back in this city. Grayson, his secretary, handed him a folder containing his schedule for the day. Ryder scanned it quickly, his eyes narrowing as he saw the list of meetings and appointments. "Grayson, I thought I made it clear that I didn't want any meetings today," Ryder said, his voice firm but controlled. "I apologize, sir," Grayson replied. "But there are some urgent matters that need your attention. The board of directors is getting anxious about the upcoming merger, and they need to discuss some details with you." Ryder sighed, rubbing his temples. He had been putting off this merger for months, but he knew he couldn't avoid it forever. "Fine," he said. "But make sure they know I'm only available for an hour. I have other things I need to attend to." Grayson nodded and stepped aside, allowing Ryder to pass. As Ryder walked towards his waiting car. #### An Apartment The apartment is a humble one. It doesn't look poor nor does it look rich, there is a little girl sitting in front of the TV watching with full concentration. She's happily munching on her popcorn like it's the only thing in the world. "Aimee" a feminine voice called from the kitchen. Aimee paused the cartoon she was watching and carried her tiny little legs to the kitchen. "Mummy" she called in her tiny voice, Sophia turned to her and handed over a plate of food to her. The little girl smiled before taking it from her. "Thank you mummy" Aimee appreciated and walked back to her cartoon, there's no dining so she eats in the kitchen. The past five years had been nothing but hellish for Sophia, she was dragged because her step sister dropped the news about her pregnancy and even put some fake headline. *SOPHIA GRANT HAVE NO DIGNITY, SHE IS A w***e, SHE SLEPT WITH A MAN WHO SHE KNOW NOTHING OF AND NOW SHE'S PREGNANT, SHE IS A DISGRACE TO THE THESPIANS. SAY NO TO SOPHIA GRANT* It all started fading away just a year ago and she had been living off the money she made over her career. No job at the moment but she's already running out of money and she knows she's going to need a job very soon. "Aimee, eat slowly" Sophia said when she passed through the sitting room and saw her rushing the food. Aimee looked up at her mom with big, round eyes and nodded, slowing down her eating. Sophia smiled and continued on her way to the kitchen, her mind preoccupied with thoughts of their financial situation. As she washed the dishes, Sophia couldn't help but feel a sense of anxiety wash over her. She had been living off her savings for a while now, but it was dwindling fast. She needed to find a job, and soon. Just as she was finishing up the dishes, Sophia heard a knock at the door. She wiped her hands on a towel and made her way to the entrance, wondering who it could be. She opened the door to find a delivery man standing on her porch, holding a large package. "Sophia Grant?" he asked, looking at her with a hint of recognition. Sophia nodded, taking the package from him. "That's me." The delivery man smiled and handed her a clipboard to sign. "You're a hard woman to find, Ms. Grant. This package has been circulating for a while now." Sophia raised an eyebrow as she signed for the package. "What is it?" The delivery man shrugged. "No idea. But it's from a law firm. Maybe it's something important?" Sophia's heart skipped a beat as she took the package from him. A law firm? What could they want with her? As the delivery man walked away, Sophia closed the door and examined the package. It was a large envelope, addressed to her, with a law firm's logo on the corner. She felt a sense of trepidation as she opened the envelope and pulled out the contents. Inside, she found a letter and a check. The letter was from a law firm, informing her that she was the beneficiary of a large sum of money, left to her by a mysterious benefactor. Who could this person be? Sophia's eyes widened as she looked at the check. It was for a staggering amount, more money than she had ever seen in her life. The money is more huge than the ones she had made in her career and this money can save her till eternity even without working. Who.is this person? Could it be her father? Or her step sister? Or someone after her life? Sophia began contemplating on opening the package, she was even scared. What if the content is something she can't handle. But as she read on, Sophia's excitement turned to confusion. The letter mentioned something about a condition, something she had to do in order to receive the money. And then, Sophia saw it. A name. A name that made her heart skip a beat.
