“Why didn't you tell me sooner?” Harriet asked as soon as they got out of the cafe and walking towards their car.
“You should have told me that the cafe belongs to that b*tch, I wouldn't have wasted my time coming over here just to get humiliated,” Harriet said.
“I tried to tell you earlier, but you wouldn't listen to me, now you got a taste of your own medicine,” Katrina Jones said, looking at her.
“Are you kinda happy about me getting insulted in front of everyone? Are you my friend or hers? Harriet asked halting in her tracks.
“Do you think, I deserved to be beaten up by that b*tch?” Harriet asks again.
“No, that is not what I meant to say Harriet, but it's true though, you don't like to listen to reasons, now see what happened ” Katrina tries to explain, but Harriet wasn't ready to listen to her flimsy excuse.
“Harley is not here right now but her shadows keep chasing me around and taking credits for my hard works, why can't she leave me alone in peace, already” Harriet laments sting her foot against the wall.
“I hate her with every bit of me, I want to crush her with my bare hands ”
While they were talking about the incident from earlier. Diana Ross arrived with a couple of policemen.
"Here she is officer, arrest her, she came to my cafe to cause trouble and even spill water on me, just look how drenched I am ”
“I didn't do anything, you started all of it and I had to defend myself, officer I didn't do anything wrong to her, you can ask everyone present at the cafe,” Harriet said defensively
“Stop trying to deny it, Miss Wilson, what wrong have I done to you? Why did you have to humiliate me in front of my customers ” Diana Ross said pitifully.
“I have evidence to prove all I'm saying, and there are also witnesses ”
“ I'm sorry miss Wilson, but I have to do this, maybe you will realize your mistakes and not repeat them in the future, I'm so sorry,” Diana Ross said, wiping a drop of tear from the corner of her eye, which has become reddened with punished tears.
“Officer, please take her away "
“Why are you doing this to me? I'm going to get back at you for this ” Harriet threatens, the moment the officer placed the cuffs on her hands.
“Officer, did you hear that? She is threatening to hurt me, I'm so scared officer, please don't let her hurt me ” Diana Ross said dramatically winking at Harriet, whose face looks crushed from embarrassment.
“You are already in a lot of trouble, and you still have the nerves to threaten someone right in front of the police? Take her to the car, she will be alright after getting locked up”
With that, the police left with Harriet, while Katrina Jones and Angelica ran after them, pleading with them to let Harriet go.
“I promise you, officer, Harriet didn't do anything wrong, they are the ones who started it, please believe me,” Katrina said pleadingly.
“And you think I will take your words for it? Move aside, otherwise, I will take you along with her ” The officer threatens and Katrina moved out of the way, and they drive away with Harriet.
Katrina and Angelica went back to meet Diana Ross, who was fondling with her nails, while, watching the officers take Harriet away with them. She had a smirk on her face.
“Miss Ross, why are you doing this to Harriet? Hump? You know she didn't do anything wrong and you still went ahead to call the cops? What is going on with you? Katrina yelled at Diana Ross.
“Your friend splashes water on me, and you think she did nothing wrong? Well, you three deserves each other, but your yelling and rants won't make me change my mind, she will have to deal with the humiliation, just like I had to ”
With that, Diana Ross turned around and went back into the cafe.
Katrina and Angelica thought of what to do, to save Harriet and bail her out before her mon finds out, but they couldn't come up with something, so they decided to go see her at the police station, while still figuring out how to bail her out.
They got into their cars and zoomed off to the station, when they got there, they saw her locked up in a cell and they felt very bad for her.
“Officer, how could you lock her like a criminal? you do t even have any evidence to prove that she did, what they are accessing her off, why then, did you lock her up” Katrina yells at the officer angrily.
“look here, little girl ”
“Don't call me that, I'm Miss Jones, do well to call me that instead ” Katrina retorts.
“Your friend has committed an offense by creating a scene at a public place like that, and she also went ahead to threaten someone right in front of the officers ” The officer explained calmly.
“You see, she has committed a crime and she must be punished for it, and yes there is video evidence, and eyewitnesses too. If you want to help her out, then go and arrange for her bail, otherwise don't try to cause a scene here or I won't have any other choice but to arrest you too. If you will excuse members, then I have something to attend to ”
After giving her a stern warning, the officer left her alone there. Katrina clenched her fists by her sides angrily, then she turns around to look at the moving Silhouette of the man. She was aggrieved that the man did not care about their background at all.
Katrina walked groggily back to where Angelica was waiting for her after having this conversation with the officer, Angelica rushed towards her she saw her coming out through the doorway.
“How did it go? Can Harriet go home now? Angelica asked with panic in her tone.
“No, not yet, the officer is not ready to set Harriet without bail ”
“ he is so arrogant, he doesn't care anyone's social status, such a gullible man can you believe he even threatens to arrest me ”
“What are we going to do to get her out of that place now, Angelica said pitifully.
“How about you call your lawyer, while I call mine! Let's see what comes out of it ” Katrina suggested.
Immediately, they swung into action and began to dialed different contacts on their phones.
After talking on the phone for a while z they let out a screech.
“You can't make it, why did you have to go on a vacation now” Katrina whines sadly.
“What? You are out of the country? Since when? Why didn't you tell me about it? , No, there is no problem, don't tell mom about this, alright? Angelica said, then she dropped the call with a sad expression on her face.
“My lawyer is not in the country right now, and same with yours! What are we supposed to do!!, how are we going to get her out of there?
“ We have no other choice but to call...
“You know Harriet won't like that.
“Mrs. Wilson is the only one who can save her now.
“I will give her a call ”
“ No, don't ever think of doing that ” they heard an eerie voice from behind and they turned.
