Claire gasped in pain as the contraction intensified. Bryce’s eyes widened, and approached Claire with urgency.
“That’s serious, right? Let’s head back.” He said and carefully picked up Claire into a bridal carry.
It was her turn to be surprised. She was about to say that she could still walk, but Bryce was already on his way back to the pack house. Kei saw them approaching and opened the door wider.
“What’s happening?” Kei was fully ignored by the alpha and called for the doctor.
“Leilah!” he exclaimed, although Leilah was already on her way out of the room, hearing the panicked voices.
“My water broke.” Claire calmly uttered, feeling dizzy from the increased contractions. She was sweating beads as her body felt hotter than usual.
