“Are you sure Gail and Khalil aren’t, you know, fighting and tearing each other apart right now instead of calmly talking?” Leilah’s question made me chuckle.
“Believe me, they were really calm when we left them. I think they can get through this.” Gail was yelling at some point, but in their standards, that’s pretty calm already. She suddenly left earlier after saying that Khalil might be in danger. Leilah quickly asked me to follow Gail, and fortunately, she hadn’t gone far yet.
I’m glad to hear that she wouldn’t recklessly sever their bond, even though it felt like a direct hit to me. But it was already too late for regrets. I had already done what I did. At least we’re on good terms now, and Calum could get the best of both worlds… hopefully, it stays like that.
