Bryce casually opened the door to the house and invited me in. Six people were inside, excluding us. Four men and two women welcomed us.
Leilah immediately approached me, “Good to know you decided to join us.”
I smiled, “Thank you for convincing me.” I would have passed the opportunity if it wasn’t for her.
“Finally, a woman I could talk to. I’m Gail, by the way.” She enthusiastically shook my hand. I was surprised but thrilled as well. They all seem nice.
“And what do you take me for, huh?” Leilah exclaimed, but Gail just rolled her eyes at her.
“Oh, you’re a woman? Sorry, I didn’t notice.” Gail clung to my arm, obviously annoying Leilah. I suddenly remember my friends from my old pack. They constantly bicker, but they are very close. I never had the chance to see them again
