CLAIRE I quietly watched Calum drawing on the workbook I bought for him. I started teaching him to read when he was three with the intention of just letting him familiarize himself with the alphabet and practice writing, but he progressed a lot better than I thought he would. He can already read basic words and often asks me the meaning of new words that he encounters. He could also do basic math. And now he uses workbooks as a coloring book.
