“Do you believe him?”
I startle on the spot and spin to face Luther.
“How long have you been out here?”
Luther smirks while folding his arms across his chest.
I swallow hard because he seems different.
“Long enough. I was going to take a walk when I saw you out here with that guy. Then I heard him say that you’re his sister. Strange thing for one to say, especially in the middle of the night.”
I clutch my stomach because I feel a little sick.
“What have you done to Luther?”
Because I know that I’m looking at Lorcan, I don’t feel the mate bond, and the way he’s holding himself tells me that my mate is no longer here.
