Chapter 15

They moved to the Burrow a few days later. David and Lisa drove them to the Leaky Cauldron, where they used the Floo to arrive to the Weasley home. Molly was ecstatic at having her daughter finally back home. She hugged her tightly, barely letting her breathe, and then checked her all over. "You look well and seem to be happy," she remarked. "You bet!" was Ginny's radiant response. Harry and Hermione were greeted with almost the same enthusiasm, with Luna getting just a tad less. For Molly, this was the neighbor's child that she had known since she was born. Susan was welcomed warmly as well, but much more officially. Her aunt was not yet chosen to be minister, but even as a temporary appointment she was proving to be much better than Fudge, not that anybody was surprised. Minerva was an old acquaintance, of course, although Molly had never seen her so young. "I can barely believe you are the same person as my old teacher," she told her. "In a way, I'm not. Harry's magic changed me, making me young again and blessing me with a child I never had a chance to carry. I still remember all my former students, though." The mischief in Minerva's voice was evident, making Molly wonder. She'd make sure not to give Minerva any reason to reminisce about the times Molly was her student. The Weasley matriarch was a bit suspicious with Daphne, especially as she was also Lady Slytherin. Ginny wouldn't stand it, though. She took Molly aside for a talk. "You know, I thought I'd feel closest to Hermione, among the wives, or to Luna, as she's closer to my age. I was surprised to form the tightest bond with Daphne, though. She can be as serious and studious as Hermione, but she has a keener sense of humor and she's much more fun to be around, once I let go of my prejudice. Try to do the same. I'm sure you'll love her as much as you love Hermione, at least." Molly nodded, still a bit reluctant, but she did change her attitude. She didn't warm to her as to Hermione, but she accepted her almost the way she accepted Susan. Daphne was satisfied with that. The Burrow served as a base, from which they went to visit Mr. Lovegood a few times and also to visit Longbottom Manor during the weekend. They enjoyed spending a few sunny days at the pond, along with the twins and their girlfriends, as well as with Ron, who found it difficult to be close to Minerva and was a bit hesitant near Daphne. "They may be your wives," he confessed to Harry, "but Minerva is still the teacher who taught my whole family, including my parents, and I'm not sure where to look when near Daphne. She is scarier than Hermione and Ginny combined, if I get on her wrong side." Harry only laughed at that. They had a few Quidditch games as well. Ginny, Luna, and Daphne proved quite good, but Minerva surprised them all, riding her broom like a pro and playing well in whatever position she was given, despite her pregnancy. They didn't use bludgers, of course. "I don't like flying brooms," Susan admitted, proving to be similar to Hermione. They both stayed firmly on the ground, just looking at the others playing. Their leisure time was interrupted by the announcement of the trials for Umbridge and Fudge. As it turned out, once the aurors started investigation, they found a whole can of worms, with the blood quills at Hogwarts being only the tip of the iceberg. They found multiple events of bribery, of illegitimate use of authority, of covering up illegal actions (like sending Dementors to Privet Drive) and even of theft, for Umbridge. The former minister was also accused of both accepting and giving bribes, acting outside of his authority and general mismanagement of the ministry, as proven by the mere fact that Umbridge was his senior official. Yet it wasn't just these two who stood trial. Many others who bribed them were also put on trial, some in absentia, as the minister seemed to be only motivated by his bank account. It was also a major motivation for the toad, but she was also motivated by her extreme bigotry against anything that wasn't Pureblood English. With so much evidence, the trial went quite well, sending Umbridge to Azkaban for more than three centuries. Fudge escaped with "only" sixty years of imprisonment. Nobody expected to ever see either of them out of prison. Visiting the Greengrass proved to be a very good experience for Harry. Daphne's parents accepted him and the other wives just as warmly as the Grangers, but the Greengrass Manor was much larger, providing ample room for study, for relaxation and for more pleasurable activities. The Greengrass were only reluctant when they saw the familiar looking young woman whom they were unable to recognize until Daphne presented her as "Our dear transfiguration teacher who turned to be a very good co-wife, Minerva." "You look so young! I would have never recognized you!" Lady Greengrass said. "I can hardly recognize myself either," Minerva admitted. "Harry's magic seemed to bring me back to my twenties, as evident." Her hand pointed at her bulging belly, making her statement clearer. As the owner of Hogwarts, Harry wasn't spared some work, though. He had to approve the budget, which he promptly turned to Hermione and Daphne to check. They found some irregularities which needed clarifications and eventually a revised budget, needing to be checked again. Dumbledore was less than happy about the scrutiny he was finding himself under, and Harry wasn't happy to lose some of his precious vacation time on such subjects. Yet he had to lose some more. Dumbledore invited him to attend the interviews of the candidates for Transfiguration and for History of Magic, as Harry insisted that Binns was no longer acceptable. It turned out alright, though. He was just glad to meet Fleur. "I thought you were going to work for Gringotts," he commented. "I thought so as well, but the Goblins seem to have even more prejudices than the Pureblood fanatics. Being part Veela made it even more difficult." She seemed to be eager to talk of something else, though. "How are you coping with six wives?" Harry smiled. "Wonderfully. As I'm soul-bound to five, they don't need to compete to assure my love, and I assume you already know about Minerva." She looked confused. "I only know she married you and resigned. Is there anything else?" His smile widened. "Our marriage, or some other magic, made her younger. She now looks just a bit older than you and is expecting my first child – a daughter." Fleur could barely hold her surprise. "That old, stern teacher is now a young expecting woman? That's wonderful, Harry! Congratulations!" "How are things between you and Bill?" he asked. Fleur turned serious. "William and I are friends, but we decided that marrying each other was not a good idea. Since returning to England, he seems to have become 'mommy's good boy' and Molly is not too fond of me due to being French and due to my Veela heritage. Besides, I found he can't stand my allure, which makes him unsuitable anyhow." Harry could see a kind of shimmer around her. It made her look a bit more attractive, he thought, and he also felt a certain fragrance coming from her, smelling quite nice. "What is that 'allure' you're speaking about?" She smiled playfully. "Oh, Harry! You're so sweet! Just look around." Harry noticed that Dumbledore, who was still in his seat, looked as if he lost his mind, drooling while his eyes were fixed on Fleur, almost bulging out of his head. He then saw that shimmer disappear, along with the fragrance. Dumbledore stopped drooling, although it took him a few minutes to regain his composure. "I hope you don't do it in class," Harry said sternly. "Pity. I was considering using some focused allure as punishment. Well, maybe it's not such a good idea." She was certainly pulling his leg, and Harry smiled. It would be nice to have a young teacher, for a change. She was accepted, of course. Harry was surprised to find that Remus Lupin was willing to teach history. He had no problem accepting him either, especially since Snape promised to supply the needed potions to help Lupin with his "little furry problem" each month. In a way, it was also Snape's insurance policy for his own position as a teacher. Harry only wondered if having two of the Marauders teaching at school was not more than Hogwarts could bear. The family moved to McGonagall Manor next. It was much colder there, being at northern Scotland, but the daylight stayed much later. With no adult supervision, the youngsters were enjoying themselves everywhere possible, making Minerva realize how sexy her old home could really be. She also got her fair share of the activity, fully enjoying her young body, as did Harry. They returned to The Burrow to celebrate Harry's birthday, as Molly wouldn't let anybody else organize it. She even invited the Greengrass to attend, along with Madam Bones, Mr. Lovegood and the Grangers. Sirius and Remus didn't really need an invitation. From the younger generation, aside from Ron and the twins, both Bill and Charlie were present. Neville also came, as well as Lavender and Parvati. Dean and Seamus only sent their good wishes with some presents. Harry was surprised when Fleur joined the party, bringing along her sister Gabrielle, who now looked more mature and quite similar to her older sister. The young blonde blushed deeply, reminding him of his first few encounters with Ginny, yet spoke clearly in perfectly intelligible English, "Congratulations for your sixteenth birthday. I wish you good luck and a lot of happiness. I believe that having these nice girls as your wives will assure that." Harry and Hermione asked Dobby to take them to Potter Manor next morning. "May Dobby suggest you take all wives with you? There's a lot to check there, and more eyes could do it quicker." Harry agreed. Six more house elves appeared shortly after, each taking one of his wives and apparating away, as did Dobby with Harry. He expected to find a place with some signs of negligence, not having anyone live there for almost two decades. What they found there was not only extremely well maintained, but also fully modernized, including a few shielded rooms where television, radio and computers could work undisturbed by magic. The head house elf was proud to tell Harry, "Masters James and Lilly wanted us to keep this place as modern as can be while they had to hide. They forbade us to come near any of you, for fear of any of us being hit by stray curses. We stuck to their orders, although we thought we could help some more, especially after that Halloween. I'm sorry if we did wrong." Harry was still in awe of all that he saw. "You did very well. I could have not had much use of your help as a child and it could only cause me additional problems. I'm glad you did such a fine job here, though. You can be really proud of the way you keep this place." "Will master move in now?" Harry smiled. The eagerness was so evident in the elf's voice. "I'll consult with my wives, but I think we should spend some time here as well." They ended spending the rest of the summer there, enjoying the large house with its just as large library, the extensive gardens, both indoor and outdoor pools as well as the secluded beach which was only accessible from the manor. The Welsh weather was warm enough to make their stay there more pleasurable then the time at McGonagall Manor, with very similar activities. Harry considered it his Honeymoon with the girls. Back at school, he thought it would be a wonderful year. He had his six girls; he had his two ex-marauders teachers; he had Fleur as a teacher (She didn't take the Gryffindor head of house position, though. That was given to Remus.); Hogwarts was now officially his home and, to top it all – he was going to be a father soon. Minerva gave birth to Lilly in the beginning of the winter with Poppy attending to her and Harry trying to help, yet fainting as soon as he saw the baby. They were all surprised when Snape asked to be her godfather. Harry and Minny accepted. When Dumbledore resigned after their seventh year, Harry appointed Snape as headmaster, despite Sirius protesting. Eventually, even Sirius had to agree. "Snape is a strict, but fair, headmaster, who takes his job very seriously, too much so, if you asked me. He really takes good care of the students and the school." Having Harry and the girls supervise him only made Snape more determined to prove himself. Four years later, after they all finished Muggle university, studying education and management, Snape welcomed them back. "I'm so glad to step down and let you, Harry, become the headmaster. I'm already sick and tired of it all. Let me return to teaching Potions and I'll feel much better." Even Sirius found nothing bad to say about that.
