Chapter 15

Jennifer PV     We walked out of our room and the guys went into the room that I would be sharing with the twins tonight. While I went down to the playroom to retrieve the twins.     “Thank you, Mary, for keeping Adam and Abigail company for me while I talked with Jason, Justin and Jonathan,” I told her as I walked into the room.     “No problem Jennifer, I hope you have a good night. Sweet dreams Adam and Abigail. See you at breakfast,” Mary said as she left the room.     “Let’s put up the blocks so we can go,” I told them. They nodded and we quickly put away all the blocks. I took one of each of their hands. While we walked, I looked at them, thinking that it would be best if I let them know that the guys wanted to talk to them.     “Adam, Abigail, I wanted to tell you, that the guys want to talk to you before we get ready for bed. It isn’t anything bad, they just wanted to ask you a few questions. They are in the room where we are sleeping in tonight,”     They looked up at me letting me know that they were listening, but other than that they didn’t show any other emotion.     We walked into the room and the only way I could tell that they were upset was because they were clinging to me.     The guys turned around when we came and they smiled. All three of them came to the center of the room and sat on the floor. I was amazed that they thought about getting down on their level. The twins looked at the kings and then back at me. I smiled and brought them closer to the Kings. Then I sat down also. They looked at each other them both sat in my lap.     Jason smiled at us. “Adam, Abigail, I want to introduce myself again. My name is Jason, this is Justin on my right and Jonathan on my left,” he explained to the kids while he pointed to each of them. Then he went on, “It seems hard to tell us apart, but the more you are around, the more you will be able to tell us apart. We have a very important question that we want to ask you two. Before we ask you, I want you to know that you can answer now, or if you need more time, we all understand. You can take as long as you need. We can also do a trial run,” he explained to them. They were looking at him, both of their faces scrunched up in confusion. Then Jonathan leaned forward, “Basically Jennifer has fallen in love with you already and we really like both of you too. I think all three of us will love you as soon as we get to spend a little time with you,” Jonathan said. Then Justin cleared his throat, “What we are trying to say or ask rather is if you would consider letting us adopt you. Which means that Jennifer would be your new mommy, I would be your Pop, Jason would be your Papa and Jonathan would be your Daddy. You would live in this house with us and we would make sure you have everything you needed. In fact, this would be your room,” Justin finished.     The kids looked at all three men and then at each other. Then they looked at me. I smiled, trying to reassure them. “You do not have to decide tonight, lets get ready for bed, and you can think about it. Tomorrow, you can let us know if you want to stay here or go back to the orphanage. Does that sound like a plan?” I asked. They nodded and the men stood. They took turns kissing the twins and me on the head. “We will see you in the morning,” Jason said as they closed the door. Then we got ready for bed. I got their pjs on after their baths and they brushed their teeth. When I tucked them in, I gave each of them a kiss on the head and turned off the light. I got in bed, but sleep evaded me for a long time. I kept wondering what tomorrow would bring. Would they go back to the orphanage or stay with us. Would it be on trial, or would they want us?   JASON     “How do you think that went,” I asked my brothers. “I don’t know,” they both said. “I really hope for Jennifer’s sake, that they want to stay. I will feel bad if they decide to leave because of us, because face it, if they leave, it will be because they are afraid and uncertain of us, because they absolutely love Jennifer. If we cause her to lose those two, I might never forgive myself,” I told them. They both nodded. Then we went to bed.   ABIGAIL     “Adam, are you awake,” I asked through our twin mind link.     “Of course, how can I sleep. What’s up?” He asked me.     “What do you think about the 3 Kings and Jennifer,” I asked him.     “I really like Jennifer, but I’m not sure about the Kings. They seem nice enough and they did help us when we first got here, but they could be as bad as him, except it would be worse because there are three,” he said.     “I don’t think Jennifer would be with them if they were like him. I like her and I like it here. I really want to stay, but I won’t say anything more about it, if you feel like the men are bad like he was,” I told Adam.     “I think that they are safe, and if they aren’t I feel like Jennifer would protect us,” he said.     “Do you think it is safe to start talking again,” I asked.     “I feel like tomorrow when everyone is together, we should wait until there is quiet and say together ‘Mommy, we want to stay,’. What do you think?” he asked.     “I love it.”     “Let’s go to sleep, tomorrow will be a long day.”
