Chapter 7 – The Hidden Past

349 Words
Adithyan stared at the photo of Maya for a long time. “Our last day together.” The words written on the back made his heart feel heavy. If Maya was so important, why couldn’t he remember her? He had to find her. She was the only one who could tell him who he really was. --- A Visit to the Office Adithyan decided to go to Arjun Menon’s office. Maybe someone there knew where Maya was. When he arrived, the employees greeted him with respect. “Good morning, Sir.” Adithyan nodded, trying to act normal. But inside, he had no idea who these people were. He walked into the cabin that said "Arjun Menon – CEO." It felt strange. This was supposed to be his office. But it felt unfamiliar. Like it belonged to someone else. --- A Name That Meant Trouble A man entered the cabin, looking nervous. “Sir, you asked for me?” Adithyan had no idea who he was, but he pretended to know. “Yes. I need information… about Maya.” The man’s face changed immediately. He looked shocked. “Sir, why are you asking about her?” Adithyan kept his expression calm. “Just answer.” The man hesitated. Then he said, “Sir, you told us never to speak about her again.” Adithyan felt his breath stop. What? Had Arjun Menon forbidden people from talking about Maya? Why? --- A Secret Meeting Adithyan leaned forward. “Where is she now?” The man looked even more nervous. “Sir, I don’t know.” Adithyan stared at him. “You’re lying.” The man hesitated, then sighed. “There’s someone who might know…” “Who?” The man lowered his voice. “Her best friend. Riya.” Adithyan memorized the name. Riya. She might have the answers. As Adithyan left the office, he felt a mix of fear and excitement. For the first time, he was getting closer to the truth. But deep inside, he had a strange feeling. Was he really ready to know what happened with Maya?
