Mom

I had taken the noisy elevator down, and Im sure its loud noises had to have pissed some people off. I made a beeline straight back to the house. Avoiding anyone who may still be out and about. Luckily, there was no one out still, so I was able to make it back to the house quickly and quietly. I closed the front door of the quiet dark house that I was now living alone in. I leaned against the wooden door and allowed my back to slide down till I was sitting on the floor. The floor boards creaked underneath me, but that was the only sound in this house. No greeting or voices around. I rested the back of my head, I let out an exhausting groan. I found myself missing the old Sanctuary. I could use just one uneventful day. Just one. Maybe I'll just hang out at the house tomorrow. Stay in bed.
