“I knew the child wasn’t mine,” I said, breaking the silence that hung heavy in the air.
Jack’s eyes shot up to meet mine, wide with shock, but I didn’t flinch. “Vivian told me months ago.”
The words hit him like a slap, and I saw the confusion run across his face.
