Gunfire erupts before anyone has time to react. Axel spins, his instincts kicking in, firing off three precise shots. Two hit their marks—The man's men drop, their weapons clattering to the ground. But there are more. Too many. Bullets rip through the air, striking metal and shattering glass. Ziana ducks, cursing under her breath. "You just had to piss him off, didn’t you?" Axel doesn’t bother responding. He’s too busy keeping them alive. He reloads in a flash, firing off another round, but even he knows this isn’t sustainable. Mickey is barely holding on.
