The rescue plan

Christopher's POV 

It had been weeks since we started working on  plan to rescue Asa from her captivity.  Dad, Aquas and some of my pack members are working on the different ways to get her out. We had gone through a lot of scenarios but the challenge was that only Aquas could transform under water for the rescue mission and we couldn't. The very thought of not being able to rescue her myself made me angry, that was until yesterday when our luck changed for the better and there was some hope restored.

*flashback*

"We have gone through this plans already, non of them work without a warriors to fight besides you. You can't pull this off on your own, you need help Aquas" dad say 

"The only other thing is to recruit some of the kings soldiers who are not loyal to him and hope they can turn on him" even he looks like he doesn't believe what his saying, it seems the mermaids are terrified of their king

"This is the only way for me to get her from that place, I cant let her stay there longer than she already has" the frustration was evident in the room as we were all out of ideas. Why did she have to be taken under water, if it was just on land it would have been an achievable mission.

"Excuse me Alpha, there's someone here to see you. They say it's a matter of life and death" Tania one of our house executives says to my dad breaking my thoughts 

"Not right now Tania, we are in the middle of something" 

"I told her sir but she says it's about the princess"

We all look at each other with questions. Who could possibly know who she is besides us? 

" let her in then, what are you waiting for?" I say to my dad's annoyance. He shakes his head at me for talking to her like that.

As the old woman walks in Aquas looks like he just saw a ghost "mother, is that you?" He asks

"I thought you were killed with the queen?" He says still not taking his eyes off her. You can see the sadness in his eyes that was also accompanied by joy of knowing she was not dead

"I had to go in hiding till the right time came for me to help the princess" 

"Wait, what's going on here, is this woman your mother, what does she have to do with Asa?" I ask

"Sorry junior alpha,  it's my bad" she says pointing at the couch signaling if she could sit and my dad nodded

"I'm Nixie and as you have determined I'm Aquas's mother. I knew the queen from when she was small and had a love flame with my son here" pointing at Aquas "after things happened the way they did I helped her with hiding the baby here onland in order to save her. The king found out about it and luckily for us it was after she was already gone.i put a spell on her to prevent her from being traceable and hid her powers" as she says this we are all in shock from the revelation

"This time was always going to come nd I am here to help you rescue her. She is not doing so well down there " 

"Wait, what? You saw her and didn't rescue her?" I scream from frustration "why would you do that?" 

"She need to come to her full being, plus we would have been both discovered and killed if I tried to rescue her. That is your destiny not mine"

"What do you mean, we are not water born so how do we even rescue her?" Dad asks 

"Well Aquas here is able to live onland with you because of my spells, I can do the same temporarily for you in water" 

"So you can give us temporary powers to function under water so we can rescue her? That's great news" I say with a big smile on my face "then we can bring her home" 

"Unfortunately for you the princess needs to fulfill her destiny,  she is after all the princess of the seas"

"So what are you saying exactly?"

"I need her rescued so I can train her on using her powers,  we don't have  lot of time before the young prince also accesses his dark powers and bring destruction to the world not just under water"

She is new to the whole thing and he has been training since he was a baby, she needs to be ready when the time comes"

I was a bit frustrated that all this was happening this way. I hated the idea of rescuing her only to leave here the again 

"What do you need from us to make this happen?" 

She sat back on the couch and started giving us instructions and what we needed to do to get the plan in motion 

*end flashback*

All is now in motion,  we going underwater in 2 days.... the few pack members going with me nd Aquas were also nervous but it had to be done
