The promised mermaid princess

Rescue mission

Christopher's POV 

We started swimming deeper into the ocean and in no time we were swimming under water heading for the bottom of the ocean. It took us about 3 hours to reach the bottom. What was so strange is that once we reached the city under water it looked like our own cities on land. Somehow I thought they will be floating on water but the city was actually built on the bottom of the ocean with some kind of shield that separates it from the water. The city looked amazing with buildings that looked like castles flowing of different lights. The trees were glowing in different kind of blues, purple, reds and green.

Different creatures like sea horses, fishes and other creatures I have never seen before were moving around seeming to mind their business. Some looked at me and the pack members with shock as I'm certain they have never seen our kind before but they still continued to mind their business. The beauty of the city was something I have never seen before. Everything was of nature, no traffic noises to disturb the flow and function of the city.

"Beautiful isn't it?" I was brought back from my thoughts by Aquas who was just floating there looking at the castle before us. 

"It's amazing, how can you leave such beauty and tranquility behind to live amongst people who are not your kind?" My statement was not coming from a bad place but I wanted to just understand why anyone would not want to live here all their lives, the place was a real gem. 

"I had nothing left here for me to live for. After I lost Asa's mother to the marriage with the prince back then I knew there will be no love for me here ever again. Thanks to the grace of the gods I got my second chance with my wife now. I do still owe Cordelia though for the sake of our love to help save her daughter. I failed her but I wont fail Asa.

"I understand what loving someone like that can do to a person. I have not turned to my wolf yet as my 18th birthday is still approaching in a few weeks but deep down I know she is my destined mate. Though I ssk myself how all this will work if she is truly the one. We live in different worlds"

"2 things I have learned to stop questioning are destiny and love. Faith has it's own ways of putting things into place, just believe and be hopeful and in the right time everything will settle in" 

"You scanned because wise sometimes" I say as Aquas and I burt into laughter

"We are almost at the entrance of the castle. There are a lot of guards here so we need to go via the back entrance that will enable you and the pack members to sneak in undetected. We can knock down the 5 guards stationed there unlike the many here" Aquas says as he leads us to the back of the castle

We swim towards the guards ho were caught of guard by 5 of our pack members who snuck in from the back to disable them and knock them out before they notice what was happening. We manage in towards the castle where many of the mermaids and other fish creatures were gathered. This was the perfect distraction that we needed. 

We swan in towards the dungeons following Aquas's lead and once we were deep in we came in contact with 2 guard standing in the entrance of what appeared to be cells. Before they could even react I launched at one nd Aquas did the same with the other and in no time after some struggle we defeated them and went in. I could see a cell with the most beautiful mermaid I have ever seen. She looked like she was wrapped in diamonds with pure silver hair flowing all the way to her back. Her eyes were so hypnotic I couldn't stop stirring at them 

"Chris" she said with tears flowing down her eyes as she swam closer to the cell "I'd that you?" 

"It's me babe, we are here to get you out so please stand back so we can break this barrier. We don't have enough time " I said as we prepared ourselves to break the cells she was kept in. The spell Nixie put on us gave us extra strength to that of our warewolf strength.  We all gathered around the cell and pulled it with all the power we could. After some time of trying it finally broke and she was free. She jumped on me with her lips crashing into mine and sparks felt like lightning all over my body. 

"I missed you" she said as her tears fell on my shoulder 

"You will have plenty of time to catch up, we need to go. The guards are coming" shouted Aquas 

Just as we were exiting about 10 guards came flocking in the dungeon. "Get ready to fight" I screamed warning my pack members 

The merman guards drew out the rods and started shooting what looked like  power lasers at us.

I grabbed Asa's hand and followed Aquas's lead to what seemed like a tunnel while my pack men fought the merman. They had transformed into their wolf who looked like super wolfs with all the underwater abilities. The merman were defeated in no time and joined us in our secret escape. 

"How did you find this tunnel?" 

"My mother told me about it's existence she made sure it was ready for us for when we come" said Aquas. I"Once e exit the palace it will lead us to a different path to her"

"What about us?" 

"You will get time to spend a day or so with Asa before you can return. For now she needs to train and we will join her in a few months once she is ready"

I looked at Asawho was now looking at me and her tail wondering what was on my mind I'm sure 

"You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen my queen"

She smiled and threw her hands around me

"Now let's get you trained so we can be together" I said grabbing her her as we made our escape from the palace to Nixie's hide out
