*Flashback*

I packed my things, I loaded the baby into a carseat and stashed all the bags in a cupboard of the kitchen pantry, since it was just past breakfast the omegas were off doing their usual cleaning or laundry so the kitchen was deserted. I knew Wells would be on the training ground at this hour and Luna Rain was usually in her office by now so I made my way there with the baby all bundled and asleep.

I knocked on her door and waited for a reply, when she didn't reply I mind linked her to ask where she was. The door of her office opened a few moments later to a deshelved Luna and Alpha, trying to fix their appearance. Alpha Terrence tried to stand and greet me but quickly sat back down and folding his legs under the desk. "Moral, Hello, Sorry about that we were, um, just a-" He starts "We were having s*x" Luna Rain finished for him and turns back to him saying "She is my Beta Terr, you don't have to be so formal." She smiles at me and I see a large blush forming on the Alphas face, I burst out laughing. "What can we do for you M?" She asks me politely. Catching my breath as quickly as I can, I remind myself why I'm here and sober very quickly. "I need to talk to you, well, both of you actually. I have a pretty big problem, can I come in?" I tell her, pleading with my eyes so she knows this is serious, she's only 5 years older than me, but she always acts like a mother, even to me. Her brow furrows and she gestures me in.

Once everyone is seated I explain to them all that's happened in the past couple months, the abuse and assault I've endured, at the hands of my so called 'mate'. They both look appalled. "So, because of all of this, I want to leave, no, I'm going to be leaving, and I would very much like your approval to go without causing any trouble." I tell them, Luna smiles sadly. "Well, I am so sorry to hear this happened, I always thought Wells was such a good wolf.. Terr?" She looks to her mate. Alpha Terrance seems quite uncomfortable. "Ahem, well, that's very disturbing.. I honestly don't know what to say.. you're his mate, that's his pup," he says, pointing to the carseat placed on the floor beside me. "He's going to come for you if you just leave." He tells me. I nod and reply "Yeah, I actually don't think that's our biggest problem.. there's something I didn't mention, and it does potentially effect you both. Now, before I tell you, I don't know how serious he was or how or what he was thinking, that's something you'd have to ask him, but he off-handedly mentioned this morning that he was going to be Alpha soon. I know that's not much, but the way he said it makes me believe he has a plan to attack one or both of you.." I tell them apologetically.

Alpha Terrence growls and stands. "That's it. I've heard enough." He stares at me through the eyes of his wolf. "No one will steal my position OR take my mate away." I lower my head in submission and watch from the top on my eyes as the Luna strokes him arm and gestures for him to take a deep breath. When the air clears of his Alpha command I know its okay to look up and I find Alphas face buried in Luna Rains neck slowly breathing in her scent.

She clears her throat and starts to speak. "I know what we should do to put all of this to bed now." Alpha and I look at her expectantly. "The serum that the witch made in your office, it'll make anyone tell the truth." She shrugs at her mate and they share a silent conversation through mind link. He nods at her and turns to me. "Okay Moral, do you want to take it or do you want to be here when we give it to him?" I'm stunned into silence for a moment. Holy s**t, they believe you. Celeste tells me. "I'm, uh, whichever you want A-Alpha T-Terrence." I stutter out quickly. Luna Rain chuckles lightly at my nervous stutter, "We should probably head to the Alpha's office for this." She tells us and stands up the open the door for us.

I follow them to his office a few doors down and they shut the door lightly. I see Alpha mindlink someone and a few moments later an omega girl walks in carrying a tray with 4 glasses of lemonade. I look at the tray questioningly, and Luna answers my unasked question once the omega leaves "It's for the taste, dear. The acidity in the lemonade masks the truth serum, even to the nose." She touches her nose and winks to me, I nod and make a silent "oh". She then pours a small amount into the cup, I reach out to take the cup and she shakes her head and sets it down in front the the empty seat beside me, I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding. I know I didn't do anything wrong, but the concept of answering any questions honestly, that sounds like it could get into details I don't really want to share with them. She grabs the other three glasses and arranges them in front of each of us and nods to her mate to mindlink Wells.

My nerves start to get the best of me as we sit in silence, waiting for Wells to get to the office. I pick at my nails and readjust my seat and something tells me to move the baby carrier from beside me to slightly behind the Alpha desk and out of view from the seat beside me. As I get it all arranged I hear the door click and I sit up straight and look at the door. Wells walks in, head held high in the air and a look of superiority written on his face. When he sees me his eyes narrow for a moment and he looks to see Alpha and Luna sitting behind the desk. He stops for a moment and says "Sorry Terr, you caught me off guard, I thought this was going to be a drink between us, not the women too." He straightens his back and sits beside me, trying to take my hand in his and immediately noticing how quickly I pulled away from him. "What's this about then ladies?" He asks the Luna but turns to me with a pointed look.

The Luna is the first to speak. "Wells, some disturbing things have come to our attention and we'd like to know the truth from your point of view." She returns his pointed look with one of her own and takes a long sip of lemonade. She gestures to his and he picks it up and sniffs it, shrugs and says "I prefer my lemonade with vodka, but if you insist." He takes a small sip and turns to the Alpha "Listen, Terr, you've known me almost out whole lives. Now, I don't know what my mate has told you, but I assure you, it's all lies. I'm sorry she interrupted your days with such nonsense, but I'll make sure to have a long discussion about this behaviour with her when I take her back home. Mate; tell them you were lying." He turns to me as he stands and holds out his hand for me to take. I shake my head and he glares at me. "Wells, whether you believe it's lies or not, we still need to get to the bottom of it, please sit down and tell us what you did last night." Luna Rain tells him and gestures with her hand to the seat he stood from. Seeing that there was no easy way out, he sighs and drops himself back into his seat. "Let's see," he begins "last night I went up to my apartment and saw her sitting on the bed so I started an argument." He pauses looking confused, trying to start again "No, sorry, let me rephrase.. I started fighting with her so I could leave... What's happening?" He looks at the Alpha with confusion and disbelief. "You can't lie Wells, now answer my mates question." the Alpha tells him, impatiently.

Looking a little flustered and panicked he starts again "I went to the apartment to start a fight so I could leave without being missed..." he stops and looks at Alpha "Please don't do this, man." he tells him. Alpha Terrence stands tall and repeats himself with his Alpha command laced into every word. "ANSWER THE QUESTION, WELLS."

Wells visibly gulps and complies with the Alpha command, as he has to. "Okay, I left the apartment and went to my office for a drink, when the little Omega.. um, oh sh*t, what's her name.. Riley? Rey? I don't know, anyways, I f*cked her, as always. We've been f*cking for a few months now actually." My mouth drops open over this confession. Dingdingding, that's where your pain is coming from. Celeste interjects. I sit there stunned for a few seconds as Wells continues "Then I broke out the were-whiskey and drank almost the whole bottle, but I felt myself becoming frisky again and the omega chic went to bed so I went back to the apartment and found my mate already asleep, but it's not my fault she decided to sleep that early so I figured I'd have some fun before she woke up but the b*tch decided to fight back! She never fought back before! So I gave her what she deserved." Wells sat with a guilty looking grimace for a few moments, until he looked at me. He took in my facial expression, the wetness on my cheeks, the broken look from betrayal, and smiles, just for a second.

He slowly turns towards Terrance, his face changing back into the mask of guilt. "Terr, you can't do this. It's not illegal to cheat on your mate, this is a home matter, there's no need for this to escalate further. You know me!" he pleads with Alpha Terrance and for a single moment, I did wonder if it was working. Then Terrance slid the cool composure over his seething rage and said "Why are you plotting to kill me?" Wells eyes get big and he started sputtering and shaking his head back and forth. "ANSWER MY QUESTION!" Terrance once again uses his Alpha command.

Wells looks at the ground in submission, and slowly looks back up at the Alpha. "Because Terrence, my people deserve better, you let in anyone off the street, no matter their race. I shouldn't have to train with witches and humans. You even let women train! I deserve better! This pack deserves better!" Wells turns to me, glaring "and you, I will come back for you, and when I do, you're going to miss the way it was before, f*cking wh*re." and with that threat he turns back to Alpha Terrance and Luna Rain and cuts ties with the pack. Alpha got in a defensive stance in front of his Luna, ready to rip Wells apart, but Wells instead throws crushed wolfsbane dust at all of us and jumps out the window. As we start to choke on wolfsbane, Rain makes it over to the opposite window and opens it, breathing in the fresh cool air, and grabbing water bottles for the rest of us. I've never been so grateful for my car seat cover, my son's still tucked away safely sleeping.

The three of us sat in silence for a few moments, breathing heavily as a silent tears streamed down my cheeks. Terrance interrupts the silence to say "I sent the warriors after him, I'm sure he won't get too far." Myself and Rain nod, he continues "Did you have a pack in mind that you'd like to go to?" For the first time in a long time, I'm actually able to say it "Cresent Band Pack, where my father's from." I reply. Rain smiles at me, knowing how much he meant to me.

"Then I will send the transfer paperwork right now, and I'll call their Alpha to make sure it's a quick transition. Probably best for you to not be here by the time they drag Wells a*s back." Terrance tells me. Rain is now starting to get teary eyed as she nods to me and pulls me in for a hug. "I'm so proud of you. Thank you." She whispers in my ear. "I'm going to miss you." I tell her in return. "I'm going to miss you too!" she replies.

*End Flashback*
