I woke up when someone tapped my face slightly. I rubbed my eyes and opened it slowly. I saw my Mom smiling at me.
"Mom... what are you doing here?" I said. I don't know if I'll be happy that she somehow seems to care for me.
"I'm sorry you had to go through this. I'm sorry I wasn't much of a help to you." She said as she smiled apologetically.
"I know you couldn't stand against Dad and I understand that." I know being in her position is difficult. She has to deal with him every single day of her life.
"Why don't you like Luis? He was your friend before all this. We've known him for quite a while now." She said.
"I have answered that already Mom. As you said, he is my friend."
