  Isolde's face burned with humiliation when she caught the murmurs from the guests. My wolf preened inside me, satisfied at her discomfort. The tables had finally turned.   "This venue is tasteful, isn’t it? Even the paper lanterns have eyes. Security-grade ones, mind you. And that bird feeder? Custom-built for the doc crew."   A slight pause.   "But I'm sure you knew that, Isolde."   My smile turned lethal. "I happen to know the organizer. If you insist on claiming I pushed you into the pool the first time, why don't we go take a look at the security footage?"   Isolde shrank back, using Darius's body to shield herself from view. The scent of her fear and embarrassment filled the air -   My phone vibrated in my purse, sending a small thrill through me. The next phase was ready.
