Chapter Twenty-Four After donning her mask, Meikah followed Kellan through the building and out the back door, Rafe behind her. “k********g nobles is a hanging offence.” Kellan chuckled. “Then you better remember our code.” He paused a moment. “Don’t get caught.” She smiled, glad it was hidden by the mask. “I like the other code better.” “So do I,” Rafe said. “We need to collect horses. Hope you can both ride.” Kellan strode down the street, nodding when they told him they could. It didn’t take long to collect horses from a local stable, having first shown their medallions, and head towards a more affluent part of town. They hid in the shadows outside a mansion, lights flickering inside some of the windows. “How do you know for certain that they’re going out tonight?” Meikah asked.
