Meikah stared after Danton.
“He’s related to the Duke?”
Meikah recognised the stunned tone Rafe used. It echoed the way she felt. “I had no idea.”
“Neither did my father or he would have made a different bargain. One with more benefits for him.”
“I guess it’s a good thing he didn’t know.”
Kellan came partway down the stairs. “Livia and Shade have finished with the bathroom if you want it next, Meikah.”
A bath sounded good. “Where is it?” She stumbled up the stairs.
“Out the back door and to the right. I’ll show you.” Kellan glanced over his shoulder. “You can use it after Meikah. We wouldn’t want you to be outside after sunrise.” He grinned.
