“He’s young.” The words escaped Meikah and when the thief glanced in her direction, she thought for a moment he’d heard them.
“Probably first year at the academy,” Kellan said.
“What are we going to do about him?”
Meikah turned at Rafe’s words, wishing everyone would stop startling her. Wandering through a graveyard was unsettling enough without people sneaking around. A smile slowly formed. The thief was probably feeling more unsettled if his actions were anything to go by.
Kellan gestured to the left. “Come at him from that direction. Meikah will come from this direction and I’ll go to the right. When I step out of the shadows, the rest of you do the same.”
