Chapter 7: Sweet

"Staring at someone for too long is rude, right?" I asked with my face slightly flushed while trying hard to avoid the intense gaze coming from his breathtaking eyes.

It's just so unfair that he could look at me straight in the eyes without failing, while I couldn't even last for seconds. My body reacts differently every time his eyes graze on me.

His eyes were as if invading what's beneath my eyes, as if he was trying to unravel what's hidden within it.

And as I looked at him again, I saw the side of his lips rise in amusement.

"Oh, I'm sorry Amore! I just can't help it," Jaco said apologetically. I even noticed how he subtly gulps.

"You're just so beautiful that I want to look at your face all the time." He then mumbled while smiling softly at me.

One of the reasons why I made the extra effort to be beautiful tonight was because of him. For some unknown reason, I want to be beautiful in his eyes. I can't even understand myself. I have never felt all these kinds of feelings before.

Having Jaco this close, I can't help but to admire him. His eyebrows were thick and full, his nose was proud and pointed, his deep tantalizing eyes were like the sun that could easily melt you under its gaze, his cheekbone was prominent, his jaw was defined, his reddish lips were sinfully thin and soft-looking, and his body was ripped with enough muscle making him look like a model. This guy in front of me is downright handsome. Everything about him screamed gorgeousness.

Gosh, I am sure that a lot of girls go crazy just to be this close to him. He is every woman's dream.

And he's definitely a smooth-talker. Hearing him say those sweet things never failed to make my face warm. He never seized on making my heart flip with his words. Especially with that kind of smile on his lips which is definitely heart-melting.

Oh no, my heart is in deep trouble. I am in so much danger. This is the first time that I felt this much. Jaco really is the most handsome man I have ever met. That's why I can't help myself but to be physically attracted to this man in front of me.

But I need to be cautious too. I should remember to always guard my heart. I experienced pain a lot of times. I can't afford to be fully burnt.

"I'm sorry for being this straightforward and blatant. Just tell me if you feel uncomfortable Amore." He said sweetly at me as he softly caressed my face. He even fixed some strands of my hair and moved them away from my face, placing them behind my ear.

So tell me, how can I not be attracted to this kind of guy?

His small gestures were enough to make me feel special. I tried hard to ignore it, but he keeps invading my mind and creating chaos to my heart. What he makes me feel is just too uncontrollable. But I should stop this madness. Gosh, this is just the first day that I met him. It's still too early to feel this way.

Good thing that the food was finally served, making me snap out of my thoughts. My eyes widened and my mouth watered. Everything looks salivating. I can't help but to dig in.

I can't stop myself from savoring the food in my mouth. Hmm, my guess was right, it tastes divine.

I didn't even notice that I put a lot of food on my plate. I smiled cheekily. Well, ever since, I love food.

I saw how Jaco's face brightened. His hazel eyes gleamed. He gently cupped my face. His thumb softly brushed my lower lip. A smile still curved on his red lips.

"I didn't know that you're a hearty-eater, Amore. With that slim and gorgeous body of yours, anyone could be fooled." He said, completely sounding amused.

I just grinned at him. People are always surprised by how much I love to eat. I guess I don't look like I ate that much. Because as much as I love to eat, I also love to do yoga and exercise. I definitely think that's what keeps my body fit and healthy.

I stopped eating when I suddenly remembered something.

"Jaco, I just want to inform you that I'll be very busy. I have a fully packed schedule this week. My team and I will be having a fashion show of my collection. I'll have to be hands-on with designing our models' dresses." I briefly explained to him.

"It's alright Amore. Just promise me that you won't tire yourself too much, okay?"

I can't help but to smile because of this man's thoughtfulness.

"And can I text you constantly? I just want to know about your whereabouts," he added.

"Okay Sir." I nodded while smiling playfully, earning a soft chuckle from him.

We ate in silence afterward. And every time I glanced at him, I would catch him darkly watching my every move.

"So when can I see you again?" Jaco asked when we were done with our dinner.

"Probably next week. You have to meet my Abuelo and Abuela too. Don't worry because they're the kindest and the sweetest," I said just to assure him.

"I'll be honored to meet your grandparents. I know that they're good people. I can't wait to meet and thank them for raising you Amore."

I softened because of his words. He's just so sweet.
