Chapter 5: The unknown

Henry barely had time to process King Darko’s words before the four armored female warriors seized him. Their grips were like iron shackles, unyielding and merciless. “Let me go!” Henry protested, struggling against their hold. His resistance was useless. The warriors remained silent, their expressions unreadable beneath their helmets. With effortless strength, they dragged him through the vast castle halls, past stone corridors lit by flickering torches. Every step echoed, filling Henry’s ears with a chilling reminder of his fate. After what felt like an eternity, they reached a secluded section of the castle. One of the warriors pulled open a heavy iron door, revealing a pitch-black chamber. Without warning, they shoved him inside. Henry hit the cold stone floor with a grunt, his hands scraping against the rough surface. The door slammed shut behind him, leaving him in utter darkness. The sound of the lock clicking into place sent a wave of panic through his chest. "Hal! Hal, are you there?" Henry called out desperately, his voice echoing off the damp walls. Silence. “Damn it! This isn’t how it’s supposed to go,” Henry muttered under his breath, frustration and fear intertwining. He had imagined this world to be like a game, where he would become a hero, leveling up and gaining power. But reality had struck cruelly—he was weak, alone, and facing death at sunrise. His thoughts were interrupted by a distant noise. Clang! Clash! The unmistakable sound of swords clashing rang through the stone walls. Shouts and cries followed. Henry held his breath, his heartbeat quickening. "What’s happening?" The battle outside grew louder. Heavy footsteps pounded against the floors above. A guard screamed, and then—silence. Then, light flooded into the room. Henry blinked as his eyes adjusted. Standing in the doorway was a tall, slender figure draped in dark clothing. A veil covered her face, obscuring her features. She held a bloodied sword in one hand, the blade still dripping from its last victim. "Who... who are you?" Henry stammered, scrambling to his feet. The woman didn’t answer. Instead, she extended a gloved hand toward him. He hesitated for a moment before gripping her hand, allowing her to pull him up. Without a word, she turned and motioned for him to follow. Henry had no choice. He wasn’t about to stay and wait for execution. They navigated through the castle’s winding passages, moving swiftly and silently. The woman knew the layout well, leading him down hidden corridors and through secret doors Henry had never noticed before. He stole glances at her as they ran. Though her face was concealed, her movements were effortless—graceful yet deadly. She carried herself with the skill of a trained warrior, each step calculated. Soon, they reached the outer walls of the castle. The exit was in sight. Then— "Halt!" Four female warriors blocked their path, their weapons drawn. Their armor gleamed under the moonlight, and their expressions were ruthless. Henry froze. He had no weapon, no magic, and no skills to fight. His only option was to hide behind the veiled woman. One of the warriors sneered. “You won’t escape with the prince, traitor.” The veiled woman didn’t respond. She simply raised her sword, shifting into a battle stance. The warriors attacked. What happened next was beyond Henry’s comprehension. The veiled woman moved like a shadow, weaving between her opponents with inhuman speed. With precise, deadly strikes, she deflected their blows while countering with her own. One warrior lunged—only for the veiled woman to sidestep and slice through her armor, sending her crumpling to the ground. Another warrior attempted to strike from behind, but the woman spun, parrying the blow and delivering a swift kick to the attacker’s chest. Henry could only watch, awestruck. She was unstoppable. Within moments, the last warrior fell. The woman stood victorious, her sword dripping with blood. Henry swallowed hard. 'Who is she?' He mumbled to himself. Breathing heavily, he took a step forward. “Thank you for saving me,” Henry said cautiously. “I don’t know why you helped me, but—” Before he could finish, the woman turned and walked away. Henry’s eyes widened. “Wait! Where are you going?” She didn’t answer. She simply stepped into the forest beyond the castle walls, disappearing into the shadows. Henry stood there, alone, the weight of the night’s events settling over him. [I guess you miss me Henry] "Go away Hal, you left me when I needed you the most" Henry spoke with an angry expression on his face. [Calm down Henry, that's how it's was planned] "Planned!, I almost got killed and here you are saying that's how it was planned"Henry spoke with a loud voice.
