Ruby's revelation hung in the air, ringing in Julian's ears like a siren. Though reluctant to publicise it, she wasn't hiding her identity from those she trusted.
She'd always planned to tell her team, provided it didn't create media drama. So when Julian sensed something amiss, she simply decided to come clean.
Julian stared at her completely blank, then he burst out laughing.
