VALERIE’S POV
“Are you glad to be home?” I asked my niece when we walked into the manor.
“Yes- it’s good to be home.” Raven smiled at my niece before placing her arm on Gloria’s shoulder.
“I’m so glad that you’re alright. But do remember to take care of yourself since you’re still recovering.” Gloria nodded. I watched as Gloria walked towards her room.
“I have somewhere to go,” I told my wife.
“Where are you going?” Raven asked before turning to face me.
“You’re not doing something illegal, right?” Why does my wife know me too well?
“I’m not.” I lied, but it doesn’t mean I will do anything extreme. I promised never to shed unnecessary blood after marrying my wife, but it doesn’t mean I will let anyone make fun of my family.
