Michelle lifted his gun slowly above his head. His grip on the handle tightens and his eyes showed that of a man making a countdown. Then he ran towards Nick as fast as the land would allow. No sound except that of the rubber of his shoes hitting the soil. Nick raised an eyebrow and waited; his gun still in the position as if he were ready to shoot. Michelle got closer never changing paths and Nick just stood there. Michelle stopped. He took a huge gulp of breath since he is actually not that fit (and the surplus of jewels and gold was not doing wonders either).
He started up running again. Nick did not move except for the tiny amount of sweat, making its way past his brow slowly down his face. It could be because of the sun or because of the tension in the air… or both. Michelle was getting closer as Nick stood still. Michelle was still getting closer as Nick still stood still. Michelle was inches away and Nick moved not only letting the sweat reach his collar. Michelle lifted his body high off the ground and was going down in a semi-circle towards Nick. Michelle swung his gun down, hard, on to the top of Nick’s head.
And it broke.
And Michelle landed on Nick but Nick still did not move.
But, Michelle just merely bounced off of Nick and landed on the ground, panting with the eyes of a confused, lost man. Nick looked down and Michelle slowly stood up, either never break eye connects. Michelle threw sand in Nick’s face, some landing in his eyes which went a bit red. He blinked the sand out without moving the rest of his body as one does when something hits their eyes. Michelle made quick movements, reaching for another gun that was in a holster on his back. He swung it out and down and Nick blocks it with his. A non-bullet gunfight began.
There were going to and forth extremely close to each other on the account of the guns being small pistols. They would came together, break apart, together, apart. But… Michelle managed to get a swing in this one time with his free hand. He punched again and Nick did not budge; if anything he was beginning to look as if he were slightly annoyed. Michelle must have through he was breaking through because he backed away quickly and hopped side to side, foot to foot, with a gigantic smile as if a demented clown but without the makeup or the humour. Micelle cried out in an inhuman voice and started running backwards while facing forward. It was surprising he kept in a straight line; I would’ve ended up crab walking or crabbing as I tend to say. Anyway… He stopped and shouted again, it was the same sound. It was such that of a high-pitch scream but the sound was as if coming from the front of the throat instead of the back of it. It also sounded as if it was underwater so the spit must have stayed in his mouth since I saw none flying
Just then, his people appeared from behind him, rising from the dirt mount that we keep forgetting about but forever seeing. There was a huge crowd (by foot no donkeys, guess they all must have took a run for it while the metal-loving humans were asleep) running towards Nick. But we were actually expecting this. Well, we were thinking this could happen? Kinda? Mostly the townsfolk wanted to do something even if it was just waiting around and pretending to do something, but now they had to move. So they did.
