Chapter 7: Plan 'B’

298 Words
You caught up? Oh so you fellas got to ‘Plan B’? Very well, now let me tell you… no… let me show you the plan instead of telling you. Well, as much as I can do, since I aren’t no writer. Close ya eyes and imagine this before thee blank stale. The sky is light blue contrasting the gentle orange of the morning dust on the sun-tanned ground. The clouds are away on a vacation so the sun is shining heavily onto this small town of ours. There is one road going through the town with wooden buildings on both side of the dry, grounded road. The buildings have seen younger days but they stand tall with the wisdom of age and the stubbornness of wood. The smell of sweat was slowly beginning to feel the air as the sun was making his way closer to the scene waiting for someone to hit play. Our two sheriffs were on either sides of the road, standing parallel to it and facing which other. Their eyes would drat side to side slowly as if scanning the area for any surprised-wanted or unwanted. We were all in our respective spaces, hiding. Then… We waited.
