The Rise of the Lycan Queen

Chapter 9

Jax POV

Once I step foot into the woods all I can smell is my Mate. Her scent is still strong so I follow it in hopes of finding her. But once I reach the strongest location of her scent all I find is a spot under a tree where her bag and clothes laid. After looking around I can’t find her scent so i decided To let Kai out so he can lead us to her. So I begin to undress and place my clothes next to hers under the tree trunk. Then I drop to all fours with a big thud as kai’s form comes to the surface. Once we have transferred into our midnight black wolf he takes in a deep breath. “I think I got her Jax” he says to me with determination. “Okay lead the way” I say as I fall back into our mind and let him take the lead. As he’s running through the forest jumping over trees and rocks I get more nervous the father we go. While I’m lost in my own thoughts Kai says to me”I think I have her scent but he’s near the waterfall” I get excited immediately. “Okay let’s go” I say to him and he takes off like a jet. After just a few short minutes we arrive and there she lays. She must be taking a nap so I stand here for a moment taking her in. While I’m standing here studying her the most strange thing I’ve ever seen happens. Without her even knowing her fur is changing colors right before my eyes. It’s like she doesn’t even notice anything is changing. Her once chocolate brown hair is now shifting to a midnight black like my fur but that’s not the strange thing. What is strange to me is only half her fur is shifting colors. It’s shifting straight down the center of her body. While I’m shocked by what I see I slowly make my way over to her. Once I’m right beside of her I lay my head protectively over her body while she sleeps. It’s almost like she doesn’t even know I’m here but I’m going to enjoy every moment while I can. 

*Dream*

I’m standing back in the castle like I was previously the night before. Looking around the room i notice I’m still in the women’s body from before. She turns to Greyson asking was he ready for what is to come and all he does is nod in return. 

Walking over to Greyson the women kisses him and says “okay honey lets take care of these mutts so we can get our baby girl back to us” Greyson kisses her like both of them assume this will be their final moment together. They turn back to the map and Greyson starts yelling orders out to the other men in the room who started to fill in moments after their kiss. With a node from Greyson Callie leaves the room and runs down stairs and starts changing something in Latin but I don’t understand what she is saying. After she finishes her chanting she says “let her eyes no longer be emerald green like my mates or sapphire like mine. Let her eyes be a basic hazel color and her hair as well, let the colors stay hidden from everyone but her and her true mate. Keep her hidden from those trying to take her for her power and keep my memories from her until her 17th year until she is ready to understand the truth of who she is. And let her here these words I’m saying” I take a deep breath and continue “ Elena my sweet child i know you may be confused, these dreams you’re having are not of you but of my memories of our last meeting. Soon you’ll understand everything. Just know that your father, your true father the Lycan king and I the vampire queen love you deeply and please understand we sent you with Damien to keep you safe. Do what you must to come back to us, we are going to do everything we can to keep you safe but you have to do your part now. I must go now as we have a war raging outside and your father is calling me through our mindlink but trusting your mate and Damien only. Tell him about you having these dreams and come to us my sweet child.” And with that the dream ended 

*end of dream*

Elena’s POV

I jump up once more with sweat dripping down my brow but this times I’m screaming for my mom. Unsure of what really happened but for some reason my heart has grew 3 times its size after seeing the unknown women. In the midst of my screaming I realized I am no longer in my wolf form but back in my human form with strong arms wrapped around me and for once in my life I feel like I’m truly home. After what seemed like hours but I’m sure was only a few minutes my breathing finally calmed down and I’m able to tear myself from the arms of my safe place. I’m sure I know exactly who they below to but I must know for sure. As I look up into his beautiful deep eyes all I can see is love and concern. With Jax whispering sweet nothings in my ears and rubbing circles on my back i fall into his chest again and just cry until i no longer can. When my tears has finally dried for a second Time I look to him again. But this time something is different with the way he is looking at me. Now all i see in his eyes is amazements. “What is it?” I say to him after he doesn’t speak a word but watches me intensely. “It’s your eyes” I looked to him more confused than ever. “They are shifting colors, not the color of your wolf, but the colors of the princess who was long thought dead”
