We passed by the Bach residence and informed the security Irish would be staying with me for the mean time. She also packed a few things before we drove to my house.
“The guest room is a bit messy so stay here a bit while I get it in shape. I wasn’t expecting any you know….” I said embarrassed after we arrived at my two bedroom apartment and she nodded in understanding.
After putting up the room, I went ahead to prepare supper since it was almost evening. After eating, we sat together in the living room and talked deep into the night.
I got to know Iris was the only child of her parents and her father was a business who moved about across countries a lot and rarely stayed home.
After midnight, we both retired to bed. “Good night” I said, as she closed the door on me.
That night, I laid on the bed reminiscing about my day and before I realized it, I was thinking about Iris. A few days ago, I was so scared of even seeing her face and right now, I felt somehow excited anytime she was around.
And it felt good because I had killed the fear. Maybe it would just good friends like Wendy.
Iris was captivating. I noticed that after a few days of living together. She had this effortless beauty about her—curvy, graceful, and always impeccably dressed which always somehow revealed how beautiful she was.
Her laugh was infectious, and her presence seemed to light me up anytime she was around. She wasn’t just pretty; she was magnetic.
And I guess I was already attracted.
