7th February, 2014Outside of Creek Alley Stadium, a most unusual event was occurring. I had heard about this rumour for a quite a few weeks but I just put it down as that, a rumour. It was sort of along the lines of Michael Jackson sleeping in an oxygen chamber, there being plans to put a Michael Jackson statue outside of Craven Cottage, and Michael Jackson having had plastic surgery – hogwash. However, to my surprise when arriving at Creek Alley, I saw that many local dignitaries as well as the press had gathered for an unveiling. An unveiling of what? The unveiling of a new statue and you wouldn’t be surprised to hear who the statue was of. I’d advise having a bucket on hand in case you felt that vomiting might be imminent.
