22nd December, 2013It was time for the Shyton United Christmas party. The party was to be held at the conference room in Creek Alley Stadium because Maury wanted to save money. He had hoped to show Alexander Kovich how frugal he could be, and he’d heard that this kind of behaviour often led to goodwill from Kovich—Goodwill that might result in a brand new Porsche 911. Word on the grapevine was that Bombalbo was to play Father Christmas. Maury reasoned, again trying to get into Alexander’s Porsche good books, that they could save money on buying a Father Christmas fat suit if Bombalbo did it. Bob and I were both excited to see Bombalbo as Santa Claus, so we both sped along to the stadium to find the car park deserted and nobody home.
