Chapter Fifty-Nine - Echoes Of The Past.

1577 Words

Juliette’s POV The cavern is colder now. Or maybe it is me. My body is still trembling from the shockwave I released earlier, the raw force that ripped through the walls and sent stones crashing to the ground. My powers burn beneath my skin like fire trapped inside glass. Every breath feels too loud in the silence that follows. I do not know how long I have been alone. Minutes. Hours. Time stretches in strange ways underground. The torches flicker weakly, struggling to survive the gusts of cold wind crawling in through unseen cracks. The chains on the floor remain broken, twisted from my last attempt to force my powers under control. I should move. I should try to find a way out. But a trembling hum pulls at my senses. My Omega instincts swirl like a compass that finally stopped lying.
