I close my eyes and let the salty scent of the pool fill my senses. It isn"t quite as good as sitting by the sea at home, but it"s a good enough approximation for me given the circumstances.
A loud splash comes from a few feet away and I open my eyes just in time to see a bright red tail disappear under the water, leaving a ripple effect over the surface.
I shake my head in bemusement. Some of the merfolk just can"t help but show off.
"I can tell from your face that you"re thinking the same thing I am," Georgie says.
I look up to find the mermaid standing beside me.
