Honi recoiled, as blood and grey matter splattered across his face. Slowly he stood, taking a step backwards transfixed on the corpse in front of him.
"There's another- a Māori!" yelled the man who had just shot Claude.
Tossing the useless single-shot pistol to the ground, he rushed towards Honi who remained paralysed in shock.
"Don't let him get away!" cried Barrett, regaining his feet, "He's witnessed everything!"
The other three men quickly began to spread out, trying to prevent Honi from escaping.
