The Water Wolf

The Rogue King

Jerimiah's POV:

I had just finished dinner when I got a call from one of my spies that keeps track of the Alpha's.

"You mean to tell me, that David is part of the Water Wolf prophecy and there's a girl who he believes is the Water Wolf and they plan to fulfill the prophecy on Monday night?"

"Yes, boss. That's what I overheard. They had dinner together at his house. It seems like she knew nothing about any of this. She's just about to leave his house."

"Grab her and bring her to me. Under no circumstances can we allow this prophecy to come to pass. It will be the end of our era if the packs get back together. We will be outcasts again." I told him sternly.

It had been about an hour since that phone call when I heard a car approach. Knowing it had to be them, I had Luke, my second in command, escort them to one of the cells in the basement. I planned to meet them down there to question this woman. As I walked towards the cell, I heard a lot of comotion. Seems like this woman, whoever she is, was being extremely vocal about not wanting to be here and wanting us to let her go. Too bad that isn't going to happen. When I walked inside, I grabbed a chair and set it in front of her. I swung my leg around so that I was sitting backwards on the chair, directly in front of her face. I waved for everyone but Luke to leave the cell. She looked panicked, which sure does get my blood pumping.

"Rose, is it? I'm Jerimiah. This is Luke. We are rogues. Do you know what that means?"

"P-p-p-please. I have kids who need me, just let me go" She manages to squeak out between tears. "HEEEEEEELP" She then yells.

"Oh honey, no one will hear you here... At least, no one whose willing to rescue you. They all follow me. Fitting, since I am the rogue king. You see, you are here because, under no circumstances, can I allow this prohpecy that you are a part of to come true. So instead, I'll give you two options. You can become my chosen mate, I will breed with you and you will have my children and you will live a comfortable life, but you will never leave and you will never rule. Or, option 2, I let you rot in this cell. You will slowly starve to death. And while we wait for you to starve, you'll be put to work so that you aren't completely worthless. It's your choice, but either way, I own you now." She lets out a loud sob at that.

"No. No no no. This can't be happening. This must be a nightmare. Please, just let me go. I won't tell anyone. I'll disappear if you want me to. Just please don't kill me."

"Well, your other choice was to mate with me. So if you die, that's your choice. Since you're so histarical right now, I'll let you think about it overnight and I'll come back in the morning. There will be guards outside this cell 24/7 and there will be no food or water unless you decide to become my chosen mate. Goodnight, Rose. If I were you, I would try to sleep a little. Whichever way you decide, you'll need your energy tomorrow." Then I winked at her, and I watched her recoil in fear or disgust, maybe both. Doesn't really matter to me. Both make me happy.

David's POV:

I'm laying in bed watching TV when I feel an overwhelming urge to sleep. I close my eyes and suddenly I'm in a garden. The sun is out and feels warm on my skin and the garden is full of vibrant colors. It seems like I am alone at first but then I sensed a presence behind me. When I turn around I see a beautiful woman in a formal green dress. She looks ethereal.

"Hello, my son. You must be wondering what you are doing here. I am the moon goddess, but you may call me Selene. We might as well be on a first name basis since we will be working together to put things right. I have called you here because your mate, Rose, is in serious danger. Unless she is rescued, all my plans will never come to pass. She will die in Jerimiah's hands." She says with a solomn look on her face.

"Wait, Jerimiah? As in the leader of the Rogues? The one who forced the packs to disband 30 years ago?" I ask.

"One in the same. He has been spying on all of the Alpha's knowing that the timeline for my prophecy was coming up. His spy watched your interactions with Rose and figured out that you two were the ones the prophecy is about. He ordered his spy to kidnap her upon leaving your house. She is being held at his compound and you must find her and rescue her before it is too late."

"Is she okay? Where do I find her? I will leave right now."

"I do not know the exact location of his compound. It is hidden, even from me, by dark magic. However, I have the power to make your mate bond stronger, even though the two of you have not completed the mating process, in order to allow you to feel her presense and find her. You will be able to feel her emotions and any pain she is experiencing. This will likely make you very angry, but you must maintain a level head in order to get to her and save her life. If you have not rescued her by tomorrow night, I fear that she will likely already be dead. She has been through a lot in her life and she will not allow herself to be treated poorly for long. She will anger him and he does not tolerate that from anyone."

"Do it. I will do anything I have to, to save her."
