Two weeks has come and gone by.
Ivory had finally gone through her healing process and could finally end her quarantine.
She was guided to the bathroom and was thoroughly washed by the maids.
She felt weird...ladies washing her vitals when she could do it herself. She just looked at them... watching them as though this job were imposed on them. Their facial expressions all said the same...they relented this activity.
As they attempted to wipe her body, she suddenly felt irritated. She didn't want them to stress themselves over her. They didn't even seem comfortable washing a bag of bones.
"Please, you should all go. I can dress myself-" Ivory said, and they all looked at her surprised.
"I can see your faces. You all don't feel comfortable." She added, and they started at her the same way.
"Our Master won't permit that. He said we should take care of you completely." One maid spoke up, as the rest waited earnestly for my reply.
"I said go. I'll talk to him." Ivory said, and watched as they all arranged what they came with and left the room.
While they went downstairs, they murmured amongst themselves.
"Are you all sure Lady Ivory still remembers us? She seems quite sullen and distant." One maid said, and one nodded in response.
"She didn't even remember her personal maids...she didn't even remember me" One maids said wailing and was patted on the shoulder. It seems like this was one of Lady Ivory's personal maids before she got ill.
"Lady Cupid told me she can't remember a thing. We just hope for the best, that she remembers who she is sooner enough. Our Master would be heartbroken if she doesn't remember him." Another maid said and signed, knowing full how their master would react if that were to be so. He would lock himself away from the rest of the world.
He loved this lady more than his life.
*****
Ivory wiped her body once more with the towel and kept it in the bathroom. She was nude, and had made sure the fire was locked. Looking at the gown on the bed, she was hesitant to wear it.
It looked too preety for her.
It was a simple yet preety white gown.
Sleeveless, and a little bit above the knees. It was shorter at the front, but longer at the back, with short gathered frills at the edges.
It seems to be flay.
A box of jewelry was always on the bed. It was just a simple sliver necklace, with a pearl serving as a pendant. It came with matching earrings.
She wore low, black heels. Then she remembered she needed the maids for one thing; her hair.
She didn't know how to arrange her hair.
She stood in front of the large mirror. A sudden feeling filled her stomach.
She remembered what she saw some time ago.
Taking a deep breath...she took a deep breath. She then grabbed a brush, and began to arrange her hair.
She arranged it in a neat, low ponytail.
She, looking at herself in the mirror, felt a bit of satisfaction.
all of a sudden, Ivory looked around, as she felt her hair stand. She sensed something odd. It seemed like someone was watching her.
Looking around again, it seemed like nobody was in the room. Nobody is in the room with her.
What is she thinking?
She just took a deep breath. She shouldn't be thinking of things like this now. She just left the room.
Walking out of the room, she was confused on which direction to take to get to the dining room. She was hungry and had no time to think of anything other than food.
She saw Lady Ivory at a safe distance from her room. Once she was spotted, she strolled to meet Ivory.
"Good morning my lady" Lady Vanora greeted, curtseying to Ivory. Ivory just stared at her and wondered why she would greet her in such a manner.
Oh...she was Cordias' lover. Maybe she was the mistress of this home and was second to Cordias.
I was just a guess though.
"Follow me My Lady. You'll be having your breakfast now. A while after that, you'll be meeting with the Master." Lady Vanora announced.
"The Master as in Cordias?" Ivory asked and Lady Vanora nodded.
Taking a sigh, she followed her to the dining room.
The table was laid with scrumptious, rich dishes. Ivory could sniff the scent from a far distance, and she was already imagining herself stuffing it in her mouth. Soon enough, she was at the table having a satisfactory meal.
After eating, she thanked Lady Vanora.
"Would you like to meet-" Lady Vanora proceedeed to ask, but was interrupted by someone coming into the room.
"Don't worry Vanora. I can handle things from here. Go and rest" Cordias said, his voice booming in the dome like design of a dining room.
He wore a long sleeved green shirt, with the first 2 buttons left open. He matched this with the same color of trousers and black shoes. He looked huge in Ivory's eyes.
Lady Vanora thanked Cordias, and taking a bow, she left the room.
Cordias stared at Ivory for a long time, which made Ivory feel uncomfortable. She coughed awkwardly, and leaving her seat, she attempted to leave the room, but Cordias held her hands.
"Where are you going to?" He said, and Ivory pulled her hands away from his immediately. His hands were too cold.
"You usually like me holding you... what's wrong?" Cordias asked questionably, and appeared to be worried.
"This means Cupid wasn't lying to me. You've forgotten everything...
Including me?" Cordias asked, his voice turning to a bare whisper when he got to the end of his sentence.
"Yes. I'm don't think I'm meant to be here. I feel majorly uncomfortable." Ivory replied, looking Cordias squarely in the eye.
"What do you mean by that? Don't say such repulsive words Ivory. You loved this place. I don't know why you can't remember all this. I don't know why you can't remember me. This is not making sense" Cordias said, and to Ivory, he was overreacting.
She didn't care though.
She didn't feel a thing.
"You said you loved me, right?...Why is that?"
Cordias who was clearly suffering from sudden anxiety and frustration, looked at her like she was something else.
She just told him she didn't love him. Why ask that question?
He just closed the distance in between them.
"I could show you why I love you... that's what you want." Cordias said, attempting to caress her cheeks but she stepped back almost immediately.
"I meant you should tell me, not show me. You want to take advantage of me." Ivory spat, and threw Cordias into more confusion.
"What you call 'TAKING ADVANTAGE' is what lovers call a show of affection!
Why aren't you understanding?!" Cordias said, almost shouting at Ivory. Surprisingly, she didn't falter."
"I have all right to misunderstand your actions Mister Cordias. You know that I don't remember you, yet you still want to touch me. That's messed up Mister." Ivory echoed, and Cordias looked at her in wonder.
When did she become this...much?!
He was trying to get things to her head and answer her questions in the right way...why was she taking it this way.
He had to calm down. He was stressing himself over nothing.
She would still regain her memories sooner or later.
By then, she'll remember what he meant to her.
"You want an answer?! You'll get one alright.
I love you Ivory. With my life. You meant everything thing to me. When you got ill...it was like I couldn't breathe. And now...you don't remember a thing. Do you know how depressing that is?" Cordias said, the remaining part of his words turning to a mutter.
Ivory looked at him and heaved tiredly.
"Look Mister Cordias...I don't know how you feel right now, and same goes for me. I just want to remember who I am right now...and my gut is telling me I don't belong here." Ivory said to his eyes.
Those eyes. She didn't know what her gaze was doing to him.
Trying to relieve himself of his frustration, he brushed his fingers through his hair. Taking a shallow breath, he decided to change the topic.
He didn't want anything to change his mood.
His woman is awake now.
That's what matters.
"Let me show around once more. Maybe you'll relax when you find the outdoor scenery comfortable." Cordias said and left the way outside the dining room.
The mansion was simple.
It had three floors.
Beautiful natural scenery.
2 grand living rooms.
A small, cute lobby.
Private gazebo.
Lush garden.
10 bedrooms.
One large kitchen.
Servants quarters.
A wide expanse of land.
That was basically just it.
Cordias had to leave Ivory after a while to settle things that meant business. He stationed a guard to watch her. He just felt he should do so.
Ivory walked around in the mansion's yard. She let the breeze pass between her legs and mess up her hair. Her gown dances in the wind, and the loved that feeling of fresh air.
She had been choked up in that room since.
Looking at a distance, she saw Cordias leaving the mansion through two large gates. She guessed that was the exit to the place. Quinting her eyes further, she could see mainly thick vegetation. There was no clear land.
Escape. A voice said in her head.
Just escape. They wouldn't even know you're gone.
