It wasn’t long until Max joined us and I could see the girl, Sierra, swallow nervously as she looked him up and down. “Sierra, this is my mate and alpha of the Dark Moon pack.” I spoke, introducing the two of them. Sierra bowed her head in greeting and respect. Nila quickly got two chairs together and sat the down for us. I gave her a thank you smile and sat down. Max stood a moment longer and I noticed that he was studying the girl intensely. I wondered if he too felt pulled the way that I felt towards her. Or maybe I was just imagining it or it could even be wishful thinking. I cleared my throat and this seemed to snap Max out of his staring and he sat down.
