SIERRA POV.
My breathing came in ragged gasps. The purple glow faded slowly from my eyes as the roaring in my ears started to dull. My knees buckled beneath me and I stumbled backwards near the edge of the river, barely catching myself before falling. Everything hurt. Not physically. It felt like something deep inside me had been ripped open and drained dry.
My arms trembled violently as I stared at my shaking hands. What… what just happened? The water around me slowly calmed, settling back into the river with soft splashes while several massive rocks crashed heavily back into place one after another. The clearing looked destroyed.
