SKYLER’S POV
I pushed my way through the gathering of warriors, ignoring the growls of annoyance that followed me. “Mother…” Fenris started. "I heard what she said." I snapped. My eyes immediately found the two young women standing amongst my warriors.
One had dark hair and brown eyes and stood protectively in front of the other.
The second girl made my breath catch. For a moment the world seemed to stop. Platinum blond hair. Blue eyes. Pale skin. Something twisted painfully inside my chest. The feeling was so sudden and overwhelming that I physically stopped walking. The girl stared back at me with equal surprise. Why? Why did she look so familiar? I had never seen her before. Had I? No. I would have remembered. The feeling only intensified. Almost like seeing a ghost.
