Maya ran as far and as fast as she could. She didn’t want to think. She just wanted to lose herself in the wind, so she was surprised when she found herself outside of Destiny’s house. She whined, wishing she could go talk to her friend, but if she shifted back, she would be naked. She lay in the grass on the edge of the tree line, watching the smoke rise out of the chimney up to the stars. She was convinced the Goddess was punishing her for something.
