Josh and Maya arrived at the cabin late Thursday afternoon. It was the perfect spot for them to either complete the mate bond or be alone for Maya to go through her heat. Josh was prepared either way, but he was really hoping that by the end of the weekend they would be a mated couple. He stoked a fire in the fireplace, not because it was cold but because he enjoyed the ambience. It made the room feel so cozy. Maya was in the kitchen preparing dinner and he wondered how to discuss things with Her. “I’m so glad Chase and Candy were able to help. They’re so good with Brandlee and have been great friends. Just you know,” Maya shrugged one shoulder as she chopped vegetables, “helping anytime we need it. We definitely owe them.” Josh rummaged through their bags and pulled out a few things.
