 Adrian did not expect the strengthening to be all about food – but he could not complain. He munched on a leg of turkey, while holding another one in his other hand, like a man who had not eaten for years. His mother nibbled at a small piece. It was like a feast for them, as they tried to pace themselves to avoid throwing up. Lady Aster looked on, standing in the middle of the cells. She looked peaceful, glowing with her white dress and blonde hair. She was their source of light, apart from the little they got during noon or a full moon. Even the third prisoner was given a meal. He was cackling with glee, but did not say much.
