Chapter 17
That the tournament was drawing to a close weighed heavily on the minds of Ling and Mei. There remained for them only three days in which to implement their plan, and precious little had happened since the incident with the break-ins and Dao poisonings. Time was of the essence, and it was drawing to a close. As the sisters considered the circumstances and the need to act, they were drawn from their intense meanderings by word that the Roman would be there soon.
“Greetings,” a voice sounded out. Both Sisters turned in unison to face the Roman.
Ling responded immediately. “You're aware of the amount of time remaining until the end of the tournament, Roman? There are only three days left. We must act now if we are to act at all.”
“It has already begun, Ling,” Aurelia answered.
