The Concern Friends

Our conversation continued pleasantly, with Diana resting her head on my shoulder while playing with her phone. The atmosphere was delightful, especially with our shared smiles. The experience was enjoyable for both of us. As the afternoon wore on, Jackson Khalil and Jermaine arrived at my place. I was surprised to see them together at this time. "Hey there, gentlemen! What brings you here together?" I asked with a smile as we exchanged greetings. Diana stood up with a bright smile and warmly greeted them, giving each of them a friendly hug. "Welcome, our distinguished guests," she said as they found seats and joined us. We continued with our lighthearted banter, laughter filling the room. "Hmmm, Elena... Elena... She's stolen my heart, and I can't think of anything else. I see her in every girl I come across... When I first came in and saw Diana, I thought she was Elena, which is why I smiled. Then I realized she wasn't..." Jackson Khalil confessed, looking quite distraught. "Ha ha ha, losing your mind over a girl, Jackson?" I teased. "And who is this Elena who has turned you into our second madman?" Diana asked, also amused. We all burst out laughing. "She's a stunning girl who completely captivated Jackson Khalil, then disappeared. He hasn't seen her since. We don't know if she's an angel or a human, but she's left him in a daze," I explained, teasing Jackson Khalil. We laughed even harder. "Hmmm, as if a crow would call another bird a bird-brain. You're madly in love too!" Jackson Khalil shot back, grinning. The laughter continued. "So now we have two madmen—one for Elena and one for Sasa," Diana quipped, making us laugh even more. "Alright, we need to figure out how to get Brian back to his senses," Jermaine said, finally managing to catch his breath. "And help me find Elena too," Jackson Khalil added, interjecting. We all laughed at that. "Oh, so you guys are here to stage an intervention for me because of Sasa?" I asked, feigning shock. "Exactly. We saw you were losing it, so we came to perform an exorcism to bring you back to your senses," Jermaine joked, causing another round of laughter. After a moment of silence, everyone playing with their phones, Diana took a deep breath and looked at me. "Brian, you need to tell us your plan regarding Sasa. Your thoughts about her have consumed you to the point where you can't focus on anything beneficial for your life. You don't attend lectures, you don't study, you're always thinking about Sasa. This is harmful to your life, your progress, your studies, and even your health." "Diana is right. Having a true friend like her is a blessing. Brian, you need to calm down. This is starting to affect you more than you realize," Jermaine said, looking at me. I sat there, staring at them in surprise. "They're right, man. Even though I'm in the same boat, I know how intense love can be. But we need to talk some sense into ourselves. And help me find my Elena before I lose my mind like you," Jackson added. "Ha ha ha, losing your mind like me? Now we have to stage an intervention for you too," Diana teased. We all laughed together, then fell silent for a moment. "It's true, the love I have for Sasa has taken over my heart more than anyone can imagine. I love her with all my heart and soul. My love for her has grown so much that I can't even describe it. It beats with every heartbeat, and with every beat, it carries my love for Sasa. Sasa isn't in my league. She agreed to be with me and promised to marry me, giving me the chance to wait for her. But our biggest fear is that her parents might marry her off as soon as she finishes college. We're also afraid that if her parents find out about our love, they might forbid it. This fear has filled our hearts, making us hide our love while searching for a way to get our parents to agree to let us be together until I finish my law degree and can marry her. This has consumed my thoughts, and I can't focus on anything else but finding a way to achieve our dream."
