After a couple hours I hear a small knock at my door, I get up and open it to Delila, I step to the side so she could come in, she waits a moment then nods her head and walks over to my bed and sits on on side, I close the door and turn to face her. She gestures for me to sit on the other side of the bed, I give a small chuckle and sit opposite her on the bed. We lock eye, she takes a big breath
"I'm Gay'" I raise my eyebrow at her
"you don't care that I'm a Hybrid?" I ask
"you don't care that I'm Gay?" she counters
I laugh "not really, it's just who you are."
she shrugs her shoulders "that's how I feel about you being a Hybrid"
"fair" I smile at her, then we both laugh
"so" she stops laughing "we need to work out who wants to kill you"
I take a breath "always a fun topic" sarcasm lacing in my voice "why do you care?" I look her dead in the eye, fear within me "you could very easily find the hunters, they probably give you a nice paycheck too"
"I know another Hybrid, a lady from my coven is mated to a wolf, he's amazing, friendly-"
"Attractive" I intruded her wiggling my eyebrows. she just laughs "No, he's was the same age as my brother" she said with a sad smile
"Was?" I question, she gives a small nod
"Was. My brother died after a rogue attacked our coven, its because we live near the pack but we aren't protected by them. Jack, the Hybrid was best friends with my little brother Ben, they would always be together, practicing and playing. They were both my brothers, after the attack I was so upset because of losing Ben." I give her a small hug thinking how would I even cope if I lost Gab, especially in an attack. She put my arms from around her but still held onto my hands
"one day Jack and his parents came round our house telling us their plans to leave, I broke down again begging them not too, telling them how I wouldn't manage losing both Ben then Jack. Jack thought that I hated him because he was with Ben and couldn't save him" she looks to the side as she relives the memories of her past, I rub my thumb on the palm of her hand trying to comfort her
"In the end they didn't leave, me and Jack became closer and he became more like a brother to me, earlier when I found out you were a Hybrid I had to call him, telling him he wasn't alone. I needed to talk to him about what to do he's parents are thinking about sending him next year if this mixed system works so that's why I want to help you, because not only am I stopping a threat towards you but a possible future threat towards Jack. I know you probably think its selfish but-"
"It isn't" I intruded her " I would do anything for my brothers, even help someone I barely know with a threat against there lives if it means I could save them the possibility of danger" She smiles a big smile
"Let's go hunt the hunters" She smiles a big smile
I laugh at her " well, we don't have a lot, the blood was real but I couldn't make out what it was, it was a mixture of things but there was defiantly wolf and human blood though"
"was there any witch?"
"I don't know, witch blood hasn't got a special smell. It just like a humans"
"I'm kinda scared, kinda impressed how you know that"
I shrug my shoulders " just don't piss me off then you won't have to see how I know that"
"I'm glad I'm on your side"

after realising we won't be able to do much until another warning or attack we started talking about our home lives.
"wait, your dad is an alpha, like head of the pack, control over everyone alpha" she asks with shock covering her face
"yeppp."
she doesn't say anything after a minute she opens her mouth but still no words come out, I rise an eyebrow at her "what?"
"I-iii have no words" she stutters "like you're a hybrid whos also the daughter of an alpha" she snaps her head quickly looking at me right in the eye "dose that mean you will become alpha when he dies?"
I take a breath "technically yes but I don't want too, I think my younger brother should take over the pack, he's a full wolf. Even though we hide it from most people if it got out that I was a Hybrid it would not be good for the pack."
"what do you mean?"
"Me being a Hybrid isn't a good thing, especial when you have to deal with other packs. Some see it as a weakness something they can take advantage of, others see it as immoral that I was even born."
"you seem to know a lot about other views on hybrids, like I know there's a general dislike but it seems like you know about it first hand"
" I know another one, she came to my pack years before I was born seeking refuge, she kept to herself then after I was born my dads asked her for help with everything hybrid related"
"ahhhh, that's good you have someone. Jack hasn't got anyone like him"
"most stay in hiding but you can't completely blame them"
we kept talking about our lives before we came her, turns out she live close to the pack but not exactly in their borders, she knows of the people here but she never really met them. Her and Ivy actually went to the same school but they weren't in the same social circles. Ivy was the school bully- no shock there
"s**t" I suddenly realise the time "it's tea-time"
"what?" Delila gives me a weird look
"tea-time, dinner" I say walking out the door
"ohhhh yer that's not a thing here, tea is a drink" she laughs
"I know tea is a f*****g drink" I joke with her " but its also another word for you're evening mean or gossip" I wiggle my eyebrows
"what" repeating the same look from earlier
"oh god have you never herded of spilling the tea?, like thats actually my favourite thing" I laugh
she shakes her head "no clue" and then laughs with me
when we get down stairs everyone is around the kitchen island, shocked and not moving
"what's up" we walk over and see whats got everyone like this
the island is covered in blood and a heart on it with a note
"no matter what secrets with always come out, next time this won't be a pigs heart. It will be a hybrids"
