The Hidden Hybrid

"WE KNOW YOUR HERE"

I didn't realise I was frozen until Delila was next to me screaming at the words. I took a deep breath then pushed her out the room and shut the door. Peter and Malek came out running when they heard her screaming 

"what's wrong?" peter asks me, Malek is comforting Delila. I go to speak but its like my voice can't come out. They look at each other confused then Peter goes to open the door

"NO!" Delila and I say in unison. Peter gives me a strange look "what happened" he Says in a demanding voice, I gulp and take in a deep breath

"blood, blood is all over the room and-" I shudder " the words we know you're here are written on the wall" 

Both their jaws drop in shock, 

"how, why would anyone do something like that" Malek asks letting go off Delila and turning to look at all of us. I shrug my shoulders "maybe not everyone's happy their are witches' here" 

"it can't be that" Delila states "I've lived near here my whole life, they accepted witches' it's got to be something else" 

"maybe its because we are powerful" Malek suggest. I turned my head "what do you mean we are powerful? like any other witches' or warlocks that have been in this town" 

"No" Malek starts he turns his head to see if anyone is listening "there's a different most only come through here few live near here but we are the first to live here, with the pack like Ivy might be friends with them but how much of that friendship is real? how much is it because Ivy's dad is a high warlock who helps protect the pact that Lou's dad used to be the alpha of" I gasp I never knew Ivy's dad was a high warlock, that would explain why they are close to each other, why she's probably the only witch they're friends with, I shake my head "this is mental, anyway we need to tell someone about this" I point to the door "we won't be able to clean this up the wolfs with be able to smell the blood as soon as they come on this level" we all nod our head in agreement 

the boys go down stairs to try and find Toby and Alex. I turn to Delila "are you okay?" I ask with a small smile, she gives a small nod then flings her arms around me, "I don't even know what to do that was so scary how did you not scream, all that blood I was scared I didn't even know it was blood until you said, I thought it wa..." she trailed off, she looks at me dead in the eye "you knew it was blood before going in the room, that's why you stopped me" I could see the wheels turning in her head " You're not just a witch are you, that's what the message means isn't it?" she questions me. 

I slowly breath in, "I'm a hybrid, I smelled the blood that's why I stopped you" she just looks at me. After a minute or so she slowly turns around and walks back into her room. I'm shocked, I feel like I can't move. Most witches' don't really care about hybrids most Hunters are wolfs who are like purist but there are some witches who hate use just as much. I guess she must be one of them. I feel the tears forming in my eyes when I hear the guys. I wipe my eyes and turn to face them. Peter and Malek not only brought back Toby and Alex it seems like Tyler and some other guy is with them too, this guy is older though, he has similar green eyes to Lou and brown hair, looking at him again he must be Toby's and Lou's father. They all come running up to me with Tyler being first he puts his arms round me and whispers "are you okay, they told us what was written" I nod, he moves me slightly so he can look into my eyes.

"they know that there is a hybrid here and they know it's one of you, you're not safe and I'm telling your dads" he tells me through a mind link. Hybrids have the ability to link each other if they're in the same general area even if they're not in the same pack, a Hybrid can also link another wolf in a different pack but they need eye contact to make the link. 

"you can't be serious I'm not a child and I can make my own choices, of course I going to tell them but now isn't the time to deal with that. we need to work out who wants to kill us and stop them"

"No, you're going back to England they have literally threatened you on the wall"

" we don't know if they know its me, maybe they are using this as a test, if they are and I run home. They will not only hunt me but probably kill me before I'm even home"

Another good thing about Hybrid mind linking is that our eyes don't glass-over like others unless we make them. so to everyone else it looks like we are just staring into each others eyes angrily. I roll my eyes and breath in to turn to the others. Toby looks angry at the contact and Peter and Malek just looks confused. 

"he's an old family friend" I nod my head towards Tyler and the boys make an "o" shape and nod 

"what happened" the older guy who I'm guessing is Lou's and Toby's dad asks 

I point to the door "the rooms covered in blood with the words "we know you're here" written on one of the walls" 

Toby looks at his dad in shock "who would do this, and how no one has come in the pack house apart from us?" silence falls apon us "well who ever did this can't spell correctly" I say 

"what?" Toby's dad questions 

"the spelling it's wrong. It uses the wrong your. Like the one used to describe something belong to someone not your are" I explain 

He nods his head "well that might be something, maybe it was just a youngsters playing a prank" 

"with blood?" Malek shouts 

"how do you know it's blood" asks Alex "maybe it's fake" 

I link Tyler "I could smell it, it was blood" 

He nods "why don't we go in Ezra?" he turned to Toby's dad "the kids shouldn't have to see this" Ezra nods 

"we will go in and have a look, then have someone sent to clean this up" he turns to me "I'm sorry for any problems this has caused you and Delila" I give a small nod and walk to my room. I look over at Delila's door scared what was she going to do now she knows my secret.
