Chapter 2 Lily

FOUR DAYS LATER...

Skylars birthday was yesterday and to everyone's suprise and Sheila's heartbreak she wasnt his mate. Goddess knows that she would make a terrible luna anyway. Not that the one we have now is any better. 'Only

three more days and Im out of this hell hole' I began to chant to myself throughout my daily chores. "Lily report to the office immediately" The Alphas voice boomed through mind link, Sighing I got off my knees from

cleaning a scuff that was left from Skylars party last night and went to the office.

"Yes Alpha Arthur you needed to see me?" I asked when i closed the door and turned around.

"Yes I did Lily, We are moving up the inaguration for Skylar, Instead of the week after this one it will be in three days so I need this house cleaned from top to bottom and a whole new

buffet style menu for the party to which you will have to cook and complete that day, I'll also need toy to wrap the pillars in silver satin sheets and do your share for the party we are to hold.

We are hosting some very important guest and I want to make sure to make and impression on them. It's for the future of this pack." I was dumbstruck with my mouth open looking at the alpha.

"But alpha that is the day of my eighteenth birthday and I will be shifting at midnight." I replied hoping that my reasing would get me out of having to help serve the party.

"Yes, I know which is why ten minutes before you can take off to go through your process." He nonchalantly replied. Could this man really not care anymore? Not that he has ever shown me

care, just turned a blind eye to what everyone does to me.

Holding back my tears "Yes alpha" I replied, turning around to get started so I could at least come up with the menu under such short notice.

"Don't be late, you know the consequence" he spat. I only nodded my head reaching for the door not trusting my own voice at the moment. Leaving his office I felt the first tear run down my cheek, I began wiping

the traitor away and started off for the kitchen to begin lunch and work on my menu.

After three days I woke up early feeling energized and i went for my shower because I refused to stink for my birthday. It was only three in the morning and I had plenty of time. As I stepped under the warm spray I jumped

when I heard a voice for the first time. "Hi Lily" It's about time I get to meet you" Looking around I realize the voice came from my mind.

"Are you my wolf?" I couldn't contain the smile on my face finally getting to meet her.

"Something like that, but you should know we are so much more that that too. I'm Grace, you're counterpart." I was confused at first, but I shrugged it off and went about my business "Don't you just

love water" came Graces voice again to which I immediately nodded my head and said "Oh yea its like it washes away all my problems and worries, I could stay here all day if I was allowed" Grace chuckled at this.

I got out and went back to my room knowing I had a full day ahead so I didn't start my video today I hurridle dressed and began cleaning the house wrapping the pillasrs like I was told and began on the cold side for the buffet tonight.

Afer finishing all that I was pretty proud of my progress and started breakfast again sitting to eat my oatmeal and snagging two pieces of bacon since it was my birthday. When thepack members came down this morning I noticed Sheila

and Skylar missing. I guess they slept late. Probably can't peel themselves away from each other long enough to come down.

As if my thoughts called to them, the began to make their way to the dining room hand in hand. Skylar immediately stopped and began to sniff the air before locking eyes with me. A pained look made its way to his face

as the relization struck him like a bullet. Shelia forced to stop stared at him before trailing his line of vision and in her relization to she began to glare at me. I was still oblivious to what was happening, until Grace

came forward of course and said "mate" in disdain. I couldnt believe it. peeling my eyes away I ran to the kitchen to wait for the inevitable rejection to come. Skylar racing after me reached me with his cheast heaving. "Why would

you run from me mate" the scary part was him saying the would with an emotion other than disgust, something I couldn't recognize, maybe longing? No that couldn't be possible for this heartless monster.

"I'd rather nopt be rejected in front of half the pack with your bed buddies there to make it even worse" I spat.

"You're expecting rejection? Why would I do that? You're my mate, Ive been waiting to find you, though I never expected it would be you." He said his voice filled with hurt.

"After everything you've done to me? No, no, no you can't be serious. We hate each other." he acted like I had slapped him, is that regret in his eyes? Oh this is truly crazy and he's crazy

if he thinks all his misdeeds can just be forgiven.

"Lily please, I'm so sorry I-" I stopped him right there.

"YOU'RE SORRY?!? Were you sorry when you were calling me unspeakable names, trying to break me letting anyone and every do the same? Were you sorry when you were screwing all your bed buddies?" I jerked

off my shirt and turned around for him to see the artwork of scars mostly created by him and if he didn't do it he knew who was and never stopped them "Were you Freaking sorry when you were making sure my body was so hideous

I didnt even want to see it much less anyone else? No you have a screwed up sense of sorry Skyler! Even if you dont want to reject me I Lily Moon hereby reje-" I never got to finish my statement for the slap that

radiated through my face.

"How Dare You Steal My Man." Sheila has found us and I guess wasnt listening to what was going on. Skylar growled and slapped sheila back causing her face to contort in shock and anger.

"Watch Who You Slap, Do Not Interrupt Me Again. Tonight I become your alpha and-" I guess today was a day for interrupting people because right at that moment Sheila stepped up to him.

"Skylar baby, what are you doing? I become your luna tonight. I'm Your chosen mate, you chose me. Forget this trash and let's go back to bed and let me remind you why-" Skylar's eyes snap to mine and regret

washed over his features immediately covered by Anger.

"Do not disrespect yor future luna, You need to learn your place Sheila and remember you were nothing but a bed warmer." Sheilas eyes began to tear up.

"You don't get your bed warmers pregnant Skylar" Skylar froze.

"It seems like you two have more you need to to discuss and honestly I'd rather be-" Skylar interrupted me.

"No, baby please stay" I shuddered at the nickname "Sheila Go I Will Deal With You Later." being that he had used an alpha command on her she had no choice but to obey, she stalked off angrily.

"This is not over b***h mark my words!" She screeched, Sighing Skylar ran over his now wery face and looked back at me. The pain in my eyes almost made me feel bad for him. Almost.

"Like I was saying, I Lily Moon-"

"NO, You can't do this, don't make this choice, please give me a chance Lily Im Sorry for everything, just please, I swear to the moon Goddess I will make it up to you. Please don't reject me Lily"

he begged. by the time he was done he had tears rolling down his cheeks.

"Look just go back to your girlfriend, she actually wants you, and now she kinda needs you in her predicament." No matter what I wasnt going to let him make me feel bad about this. This rejection

is on him and Grace one hundred percent agrees. Shes been supressed on the sidelines forced to watch me go through the torture my whole life and unable to do anything about it.

"This isnt the first time she's pulled this stunt unfortunately. She's probably not even pregnant, just wants me to reject my Goddess given mate so it'll be to late to take it back

when she finally is forced to tell the truth" he sniffles still crying. "Please Lily you cant do this to me, to us. I promise I'll make everything right."

By this time Grace has apparently had enough because a force of power I've never felt before washed over me in her immense rage and Skylar was actually forced a step back. "My human

has suffered enough by not only your filthy hands but that of most of the pack including you beta. We do not need you we are leaving. We denounce this pack and it's current and future alpha" Skylar dropped to his

knees gasping because of the shattered bon Grace just so kindly created "Now Lily while we have a chace reject this sorry ass" Grace whispered to me and released control back.

"I Lily Moon reject you Skylar Benson as my mate" I finally finished and watched him sink even lower to the floor about to pass out. I proceeded to take off my apron and take off running for the end of

the pack territory before anything else could happen. When I crossed the border I heard the most bone chilling howls fill the air, but the strange part was there were two of them, instead of just one.

"The secong was the current alpha feeling the pack bond break between us, he knew we were more important the he let on." Grace chimed in filling in the blank spot in my mind. I guess we're on our own now, I kept

running trying to find a place to rest before my first shift tonight. "Find the stream and go dow in, I want to be close to water." and so I did as grace asked and trailed us down the sping until we reached a lake with a waterfall.

It was beautiful and i'm glad I found this place. Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder, looking over Charlie had perched there looking at me. I smiled at him excited to see my lost friend after so long. Suddenly he flew off

and up to the waterfall where he disappeared underneath. Squinting my eyes I followed him the best I could and slowly but surely I was able to climb the rock siding until I found a ledge with a deep cave. Stepping inside Lily decides two things immediately, one this is her new temporary home and two she needs food and fire.

After settling her fire she immediately straps her cold wet clothes and makes a make shift hang with sticks to dry her clothes and begins to warm herself up by the flames contented with her new found freedom.

"I'm sorry we couldn't keep our mate" Lily breaks the silence that's been dragging between her and Grace.

"Lily never think you have to apologize to me. we didn't deserve everything they did to us. It hurts I can't lie, but I love you Lily and I'm always by you're side. "

"Thanks Grace I'm so glad the moon Goddesa blessed me with you." with a contented sigh Lily lays by the fire and begins to close her eyes to rest for the first shift tonight and whatever will come tomorrow.
