My Name Is...

Alicia's POV

She has become accustomed to the beeping of the machine these past four months, and that's the only thing that reminds her there's still hope for him. Well, I'm talking about my brother. He has been on life support for the past four months, like I mentioned earlier, but he doesn't have much time left because his condition has been deteriorating, and I'm running out of money.

No matter how hard I try, I can't find any job to keep his treatment going and pay for his surgery. All I can afford is three months' payment, and after that, I'll have to stop his treatment and watch him die. But I can't do that. How could I possibly watch my one and only family die? But remember-I'm jobless.

Why, you're asking? Well, here is the reason. But before I dive into that, I'd like you to pardon my manners. I was just so overwhelmed that I couldn't even introduce myself to you properly.

My name is Alicia West. I have porcelain skin with a pink undertone. My hair is 14 inches long, brown and wavy, with a little touch of ombré at the tips. And I'm a heterochromia carrier, which means I have two different colors of eyeballs. My left eye is oceanic green, while my right eye is oceanic blue. Lastly, I'm 22 years old.

My eyes are one of the major reasons I can't seem to find a job. People see me as a freak and a weirdo, so I resorted to wearing contacts. Well, apart from that, I'm an easygoing girl. I'm free to talk to once you get to know me. I'm neither an introvert nor an extrovert-you can just summarize it in one word: neutral.

I have two friends, Camille Sinclair and Ashton McGregor. They're like sisters to me, and they're the only ones I have in my life apart from my brother.

I met Camille when I was in grade six. She was the only one who wasn't afraid of me and decided to be my friend when others avoided me like a plague. Later on, when we were in junior high school, Ashton joined us. Since then, we became an inseparable trio.

Camille is taller than me. She is beautiful, flawless and gorgeous. She has a killer shape. Her skin is light yellow, and her hair is straight, 12‑inch black hair, which she often puts in a messy bun. She is a fashionista.

Ashton is a model, so imagine how she looks. Her figure is just too perfect, ranging from her pink porcelain skin, to her dark brown 10‑inch hair, and lastly to her hourglass shape.
