Zayden and Nea arrived at the River’s Edge Pack to cheers and a warm welcome. Nathan emptied the A-Star and filled it with fresh warriors who would be going back with him to relieve some of the guards at the Glacier Valley packhouse. He would bring another group back here and the rest of the pack would be managing troop movements by car and truck.
“Nea,” Zayden said solemnly in front of the packhouse, “go to the hospital wing so that you can get that arm stitched up to I’ll meet you inside in an hour or so.”
“Where are you going?” Athena asked him.
“I have to go give thanks and comfort to the family of the fallen warrior. One of them was from our pack, Oliver, an old family friend,” Zayden told her sadly.
