West pulled Nea out of the room following Nathan to the guest room with Zayden right behind them.
“Alpha Zayden, your presence is not required,” West said firmly over his shoulder.
Zayden growled, “Alpha West, Nea is my…”
“Zayden,” Nea put her free hand on his chest, “give us a few minutes, please? We’ll be down in 30 minutes, remember? I need to speak to West.”
Zayden clasped the hand on his chest, looking into her eyes. He didn’t trust his voice to speak, so he just nodded and turned and walked to office. Nea’s heart broke a little watching him walk away. Part of her wanted to go with him. But she needed to find out what had happened to Eric and she didn’t feel like she could ask West such a sensitive question in front of anyone.
